So, phase 1 is pretty much complete. Built an interior unit that's essentially a bed platform for a queen mattress, with three 28" deep gear drawers that open toward the inside of the van, and a variety of 36" deep drawers that comprise the 'kitchen' out back. Had great luck with heavy duty drawer slides from Lee Valley. For now we're just doing a Coleman stove with a 5lb propane tank and a cooler for perishables; at some point I'd love to add solar and a small DC fridge.

I've had three 4x4 vans since 2010, it's been a learning experience.
I finally saved the coin for a Ujoint kit (the previous ones were Salem-Kroger builds). I chose the 6" coil swap at the last minute, it's the best riding 4x4 van I've had so far.

Had a little free time, added cc880 springs, Curt front hitch with winch mount and a Smitty XRC 9500 to the Army Van. I don't like how low it is, might change it all later but its there for now while I decide how much higher I can go before all hope of an alignment is lost, lol...

Weldtec Designs just finished my lift and bumpers. Van rides so much better and I've done hundreds of miles of gravel since the lift. Bumpers are really well done.

As a new big-van owner, I've learned that 1) I need a bigger shop
and 2) van does what it is supposed to do.
