^^^AWESOME!! I love how you still have the reflectors on in the second to last pic. Safety first. But honestly, those are great pictures.

    Expedition Overland 2013 Tacoma Build

So I am a little behind, but I just started watching the Central America series. My question is this: why did you get all new drawers and racks for the Tacoma? It was obviously set up for the Alaska Expeditons. Did the requirements change? From what I remember in the Alaska series and what it...

Wow, thanks for the thorough reply so soon. Thanks for the comparison to the Fargo as it is a bike I have been considering for my next purchase. When questioning the carbon fork, I was questioning more against a steel fork than a suspension fork. I'm a recent steel convert (Miyata 1000) and I...

Im excited about this bike as well. I'm looking forward to reading your review. I hope you take it on some routes that are not "perfect" for the bike as well, to see what it is really capable of. I'm also curious to see what you think of the carbon fork. I was surprised by that when I saw it.

First Ride: Rocky Mountain Sherpa (Purpose-built for overlanding)

I'm new to the bike packing scene and just started following this subforum. I come from mostly a road bike/tri bike background so my full suspension knowledge is lacking to say the least. My question is what make this bike more suited to Bikepacking than other full suspension or even hard tail...

What's your favorite budget sleeping bag for summer bikepacking?

I'm new to bike packing, but I know backpacking when I want to go light I go with a bivy sack and sleeping pad. I think the pad is more important than the bag. It amazing how much energy the ground sucks out of you.

For Sale-Trailer made out of a mini truck fiberglass bed service.

Do you still have this? Are the Tacoma wheels 16"? How is the fiberglass "bed" mounted to the frame? Thanks.

    Yotapilot's 2001 Tacoma DC Build

I really like the AT3. They have been great and they were the editors choice tire in the latest Overland Journal tire test. There you can find all the specific tire performance characterists. My seat of the pants rating of the tire are great. The only fault the tire has is it has a thinner...

    Yotapilot's 2001 Tacoma DC Build

Sorry for the late response. I have been away from the forum for a while. It's funny you ask that...I also talk about how I would love the longer bed of the ext cab over the 5 ft bed of the double cab. However, I need to keep the double cab due to a baby coming in about a month.

    Yotapilot's 2001 Tacoma DC Build

I apologize if I misspoke. I remember seeing this bumper for the second gen first. They do look identical. And the first gen version does not go all the way to the front on the wheel well like it does on the second gen and my ARB. To me, I was never happy with fit and finish. But that's just me.

    Yotapilot's 2001 Tacoma DC Build

I had only the stock tire size on the first gen wheels. I didn't use the spacers until I got the second gen wheels because they have different backspacing.

SOLD // SOLD FrontRunner Roof Rack & Tracks 1.6m size // SOLD

Thanks for the info. The tracks will fit my shell, but it just can justify ditching my current Thule set up for this.
