Incredible build man! Just now checking in! I’d like to do a flatbed for my ‘04 GMC 2500 but I decided to put money into the engine first. I also have the 6.0 and I decided to put a low end cam for torque which according to comp the torque/powerband ranges from 1200-4000 which is perfect for...
Damn. I’m normally not a white vehicle kind of person but you have certainly added all the right touches to your rig! Envy all around, congrats on the new hotness!
I've been driving a 2004 gmc 2500 gasser for about 8 months now after "upgrading" from a '98 1500 and all I noticed is that the stoutness of the truck is pretty obvious and it seems like it can handle almost any load thrown at it. However, and it is a huge however, the power coming from the 6.0...
Awesome work man, I'm in for the whole build! I'll be doing something very similar on my '04 2500 Sierra CCSB. I also went with the 6.0 because I know the LS engines top to bottom so getting power/torque out of them is a breeze. You need to take a second mortgage out on your house to buy go-fast...
For some reason diesel trucks in general are creeping up in price because I had my heart set on one until I starting seeing the prices people want for used ones. I can get a cummins swap done for 4-5k depending on the condition of the engine and whether I go 12 or 24 valve. It's not a priority...
Hey fellow trail lovers! I haven't started a build thread with my new (to me) truck so I felt it was time. I love reading other people's threads about even the most subtle mods they do to their rigs so I thought I would provide that same entertainment! My truck is much larger than Jeeps and...
Looks like lmctruck.com might be your go-to website for duration of your rehab on that beast in addition to the junkyard. I've always wanted to do a Cummins swap on a burb like that. Good luck on your progress!!

Actually I'm gonna paint the whole truck (and cap) jade metallic green. It looks very dark almost black in low light but has beautiful dark green sparkle in full light. I also plan on doing a full camper build in the bed with drawer slide-outs with hot/cold water system and a cargo rack above...
Curious to see which direction you go with this. I fully plan on installing some sort of shower system on my truck that I use to go 4x4 camping all the time. And you make an excellent point, you can get pretty dirty while camping and doing other outdoor activities so it's nice to crawl into bed...
Incredible build!! I think you may have tipped me over the edge in making my decision to get a tahoe or Yukon. I've been kicking around that idea for some time now and I even considered getting a 60 or 80 series land cruiser. But I might have to sell my pride and joy in order to get what I want...
I've been thinking about inventing a portable "camping" type wash machine. I'm curious to see how well this one works out! Looking forward to the write up on it
