Sad to say I sold the old girl (Silvia) in July. She was a great vehicle for the 16 years I had her. I didn't realize at the time that my last trip was my last trip and that was to GSMTR @ Windrock in TN this past June. I got a wild hair to list her for sale following the trip because these...

    Toyo MT 285/75r17 34x11.5

Surprisingly at this stage the Mt’s are quieter, I chalk it up to the softer rubber compound. So I cringe at thinking long term mileage. I loved the AT’s for everything but clay. We have a off-road rally in late October in TN so fresh meat was needed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Toyo MT 285/75r17 34x11.5

This is why I order tires based on specified size not stamped size. The toyo in 285/75r17 measure something like 33.9 x 11.3, where the Yoko 35x12.5r17 measure 34.7x13.2, now 13.2 might be a stretch as I’ve had wide tires and these aren’t them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

After adding the Wilco off-road High Clearance swing out I knew I needed to add a 2” receiver like their more expensive model had for the bike rack or other accessories. I measured, remeasured, then waited. I also picked up a Kuat 2” Hi-Lo extension so that I could run a rack prior to adding...

    Shady Boy Awning SOLD

The material can be sewn or patched (better option). It does not hinder the functionality. The material cannot be replaced by Shady Boy because they don’t offer this material any longer. A new one could be made if your handy with a sewing machine and tent material. It’s a solid little system. I...

Crazy Fix for Sequoia Rear Window Roll-down

I have the same problem but a different (maybe) perspective. My 2005 Sequoia rear windows and other features stopped functioning (defrost, wiper, window). I took it apart again, and after reading a post that outlined the 3 bolts holding the motor are T25, I removed them with the intent of...

Update on my 2002 w 434,000 miles. Wilco Off-road Swing away tire. Saved some $$ on not getting the swing away hitch model. Plan on welding a 2” on myself and adding a better hi-lift cradle. Also will be sliding it all the way into the hitch and cutting the 2” then resetting the tension nut...

I am also looking for an awning. It has come time to replace my Shadyboy after the material ripped a bit and the manufacture no longer supports this model 10+ years (good investment) the replacement cost has me looking at something else, after the Overland Journal awning shoot out I’m looking...
