ALL Taxa models have absurdly thin/hard “pads”. I can’t imagine trying to sleep on the ones in our Cricket. We have 4in memory foam folding mattresses on ours.
I can’t speak for the OP, but I use a copy of that adapter with my Jetboil when camper camping. It works with zero issues. Since SnowPeak uses the same type canister, I can’t imagine that it wouldn’t work.
