I do the same. I have a rubber floor mat the I place between the ladder and the tent when stowed and under the base of the ladder when deployed.

I've often wondered what my trailer weighs. So, I took it in to work today and put it on the scale. "Empty", with RTT, spare tire, hi-lift jack, tongue box w/battery, it weighs in at 1200 lbs. and I figure another 300 lbs for gear when camping for a total of around 1500 lbs.

Shortly after welding the Jack mount to the tongue of my CDN M101 I installed a tongue box making it unusable. Finally got around to welding on a second that was further up the tongue and was usable. The original mount is used to stow the Jack and the new one is for when the Jack is s in use...
