    1995 Chevy Z71 Lift/ Suspension/ Drivetrain Overhaul - Help

If you run in cool climates you'll still want to run the internal transmission cooler in line with the aftermarket. With the 40k cooler on my 4L80e, even running through the radiator it still runs cold going down the highway. Like Twinduro mentioned, the lifts with the torsion bar crossmember...

Guess who's back!?! Atl-atl's K5 Blazer + Four Wheel Camper "The Crawlin Cabin" documentation thread!

Also, looks like that engine has the exhaust manifold broken bolt bracket on it. I'd pull the manifolds, extract any broken bolts (welder makes quick work of this) and reinstall with new bolts and oem gaskets. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

Some random thoughts. When I'm freshening up a used gen3 for a swap I replace the oil pressure, cam position and crank position sensors since they're harder to get to in the truck. New water pump and thermostat. Also the intake and valve cover gaskets. I send the fuel injectors out to be...

I would up the tire size to 265/75R16 or 235/85R16. Both would've been factory options on the 2500. Definitely go through the front end. Ball joints, tie rod ends, idler and pitman arm, and inspect the control arm and front diffential bushings. I like Mevotech TTX parts over Moog and AC Delco...

    1991 Chevy SAS build

Had some decent weather today so I did some painting. The new diff covers are from Ruffstuff. They're super beefy, 3/8 thick with a machined flange. The truck will be mostly black so I went with Husqvarna orange as an accent color. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

It's pretty crusty. The passenger tube is badly pitted around the spring mount. I don't think the lower bearings have ever been touched. That probably wouldn't have been a problem if they had washed it every now and then to keep the dust caps from rotting through. Either way, the ring and pinion...

Haven't had much time to work on this thing but I got the Dana 60 torn down as far as I want to take it. The upper kingpins are ok so I'll just be replacing the springs and bushings. The lower bearings were junk because the dust caps actually rotted out. Getting the lower caps off was the...

Edgar: The adventures and ramblings of a high mileage 1992 Chevy K1500 RCSB

The aftermarket replacement lines are junk. Only option to me is converting to AN or having a hydraulic shop make some good ones. I deleted the oil cooler the first time I put my 1990 together when I bought it. I drove it with the 350 quite awhile, and the one time I had the oil analyzed they...

    GMT400 - a love/hate relationship

Considering how much cheaper the 73-87 Chevy Dana 44 or 10 bolt is, I'd lean that way if you didn't want/need a dana 60. However, by the time you add in the cost to get crossover steering on any of the dana 44's or 10 bolts, a kingpin 60 starts looking like a good deal - especially the 86-91...

    1991 Chevy SAS build

The AAM10.5 is basically identical to any old Corp 14 bolt full floater. They just copied the corp diff and added disc brakes so any of the lockers available for the 14 bolt will work. Can't speak for the Dodge AAM's, or the 11.5 used in Duramax trucks. Why eaton hasn't come out with an elocker...
