Anyone use HAM 20M or 40M HF?

I have a Yaesu FT-891 with ATAS 120 set up on my truck. Not so sure what everyone has against the ATAS 120. Mine is on a fender mount, and works very well.

    GMRS? Baofeng?

I have 2 Baofeng radios. not so good. I dropped one the other day and now its garbage. They are constantly making noise no matter what level I set the squelch. If you need a radio with any sort of reliability I agree with the others. My 12 year old Yaesu VX-170 has had bullet proof performance...

Changed battery, now my alarm/horn/flashers go off at random

Sometimes a dead or disconnected battery will cause the security system to request an engine light , some cars will even lock out the ignition. Clear any codes that show up

What are you using for a coffee maker and coffee brand when camping/overlanding?

I like the old percolater pot, we also use a stovetop espresso maker.

    Post Pic's of your Jeep

Yes open diff. Actually I also cut off the pinion! It is only rear wheel drive, and we needed room to stuff the axle close to the front of the frame. The axles just freewheel so the diff does not turn. All for show.

    6 Meter Traffic?

I put on 6m from time to time, never really hear anything. Pretty rare when the band opens and I am able to get to the radio. I also have an IC 706. Best radio I have had in a long time. Just don't like the fact that there is no DTMF mic.

    A Hawk in the Arctic

HAHA no. That was my wife hiding from our kid. I looked at that Pipsqueak stove. It's a little bigger them mine. I do like how the chimney exits the back. Allows for a bigger front door.

    A Hawk in the Arctic

I could not buy one that fit my needs or the space I had for it, so I built it myself. Very over built at that, but It should last for a long time. This is V1. It works perfectly. The only thing I would do different next time is add a glass window.

    A Hawk in the Arctic

Sure do! I will have to go take some new photo's. I have changed things a little since these were taken. There is now a little railing along the open side. Just there to keep anyone sitting on the bench from accidentally touching the stove.
