    Fatbikes in the snow

Adventures by Cogburn Snow came late to these parts, but it just keeps coming about an inch at a time. Early in the season I had the chance to ride up on the Chequamegon National Forest, on the CAMBA MTB Trail System's Wilson Lake Trail. Saturday I rode at Lake Maria State Park (Monticello, MN)...

Any neighborhood with a Meriwether bike in it is one pretty cool neighborhood! Hope to have Whit build me a loaded touring bike for early 2017 and the Lewis and Clark Bicycle Trail from St. Louis to Yankton, SD the first summer and on to the western sea the next, if nothing prevents. Saving up...

    Cogburn Expedition Build-up

Didn't happen. My elderly mother had a stroke the first week of August, so we spent the whole time in Suburban D.C. with her until she was out of danger. Plan to try again next summer.

    Cogburn Expedition Build-up

So far it has been working really well, mostly for fishing trips in NW WI. It fits my Jandd panniers just fine, seems to hold them tight, although at the slower speeds of a fat-bike, I haven't really tested the bouncing retention. Attached is a picture of the fishing set-up.

How do you carry your fly rods?

I keep hearing good things about the Krampus. Surly's ECR would have been my second choice if I hadn't fallen in love with the Cogburn at first ride. I had a Pugs before that, and really liked it, but the CB4 handles "different". If you asked me what that means, precisely, I couldn't really tell...

Backcountry fishing set-up on my Cogburn CB4 fat-bike. Setup includes a Cogburn Gear Rack attached to a Blackburn Outpost cargo rack Pole and reel in a Cabelas 30" rod case. From the rack up; Jandd Rack Pack II containing cameras (still and video) sunblock, bug spray (Natrapel and DEET), bike...

First Ride: Rocky Mountain Sherpa (Purpose-built for overlanding)

I watched and enjoyed the video. I was wondering what camera(s) you use for filming? I am assuming the new WTB rubber is their entry into the "29+" market? Ride safe, Hans

That was a great article in OJ. I finally got to read all of it in one sitting and was really impressed that you did it solo. Ride safe, Hans

    Cogburn Expedition Build-up

Took advantage of the first really nice day this spring to change over my Cogburn CB4 from winter mode... ...to Expedition ready. Additions are as follows: Blackburn Outpost Cargo rear rack and fork cages; Cogburn frame pack; bottle cage to underside of downtube for fuel bottle; Wanderlust...

Looks like a Surly Nice Rack. Any dealer can order one from QBP.

    MTN Bike set-up for Hunting

Of course, as the folks at Cogburn know, I have a Cogburn CB4 too. I think my previous post was from while I was still riding a Pugsley. I love my CB4! It is versatile, stable and just plain FUN! Like being a kid on my first bike again. I have said many times, if the Cogburn had come out before...

Iconic Minnesota scene: Cogburn CB4 and Split Rock Lighthouse on the North Shore of Lake Superior. Took a few days off last weekend to get away, ride the fat bike and snowshoe where there is actually MinneSNOWta snow this year. When it starts warming up, the Cogburn will transform into a mighty...

New addition to the stable or quiver or garage. Pugsley went to a friend and Santa brought me a brand new Cogburn Outdoors CB4 in Realtree Snow camo. Great bike! (Of course, you can't see it because of the camo, right?") This is the winter and patrol build; I will be changing it over in the...
