best materials to use for interior construction - not wood

Sure. Admittedly I am in the lightweight camp because I am payload challenged. My priorities are lightweight / looks nice in my option /durable . The pic below is simply how I did the wood covered foam panels. The tools / supplies I used are in the picture except for the table saw and the...

best materials to use for interior construction - not wood

I agree with billiebob . Not sure why wood gets a bad rap for interiors. Only use the thickness you need to do the job . Wood covered xps foamboard from Home Depot makes an Incredibly light and rigid interior. You can make the panels yourself and they are cheap .Also look at marine hull liner...

    True 4-season truck camper/travel trailer?

I would go composite for sure with the least thermal bridging you can find. Pay attention not only to window frames but also especially to door frames as they can ice up from condensation thus keep a door from being a door. The fix of course is to keep the moisture from reaching the cold...

Breathing life into a 30yr old Travelaire

Excellent build sir! Even though I built my Fiberglass over foam camper from scratch, I do believe that your idea is the way to go. That is … buy an older fiberglass Kodiak / Northern Lite / Bigfoot gut it and build what you want . And for anyone with some fiberglass skills the sky is the...

1st Gen Tundra Owners Weigh In (Over GVWR?)

I have a Gen 1 (2Wd) and carry a NL 610 I added air bags first then homemade stableloads . Only need 25 lbs in the airbags bags now to take it back to factory ride height. Setup works great. Had it weighed and I’m under weight

    Rigid HVAC Micro DC AirCon

Risky for sure but i bought one of these units also. Unlike ### i don't need much hose at all for my install. Even if this unit will cool down just the cabover on my truck camper for better sleeping i will consider it a win re: post #20. Unfortunately its -15C outside so i cant do an actual...

Big battery charger / small generator. Looking for solution to not overload generator.

Thanks for the replies. Generator arrived and it does the job ..... kind of I had hoped to charge the battery at a fixed 13.8 volts (charger has an adjustable setting) but it overloads the generator. But I can charge at 13.58 volts which gives me a 48 hour resting voltage of 13.32 which I think...

1st pic with it on 6x10 trailer. Second is my crude photo shopped idea that would have some added on fibreglass panels

Big battery charger / small generator. Looking for solution to not overload generator.

I have a Power Max PM 4 60 Amp charger that am going to use to charge my 100 amp Fortune lithium 12 v battery. Besides shore charging I would like to use the same charger to charge from a Westinghouse 1200/1000generator. This would overload my small generator so I was wondering if I could use...
