I like the first one best, but goota tell you I think it would look best on an old rest mod kinda truck, ( like an early 70s ford with a 7.3 powerstroke ) but anyways I love the idea, as for the people who say don't do it, it takes a real man to cut up a classic, anyone can restore something !
I would drill a hole where the end of the rod passes through the bracket and just use a hair pin, quick and simple and if you need to exit quickly it only takes a quick pull and its outta your way.
The one thing I have to offer, if you are going to be living in it, get the 8 ft bed and camper. I live in a 28ft 5th wheel with 2 slides, and that feels very tight sometimes. so go as big as you can with out going over the top.

When I redid the floor in my Scout, I did a roll on bed liner, then put down some of the bubble inslation from home depot, then put carpet over that. seems to be good at keeping the heat/cold out, annd sound level insiode is much better. I guess we will se in a few years if the bedlinr will keep...
SOoo very cool, The 360 is such an over looked engine, nice to see a modern truck with a real engine! oh and I got a buddy in PA putting a 466 in a 74 IH travelett such cool swaps!
