    Service/Utility Bodies

We really liked our used utility bed we put on our Chevy. It was a long bed with a short height to fit the camper. I paid $2600.00 for the bed, including installation. It served us well for 6 years. I sold the truck and camper to my neighbour a few years ago and he still has it, so I see it...

    Flat bed options

Yeah, they are heavier and can be bulkier, but not necessarily lower. This was my rig - 2006 Chevy with used low profile utility bed and popup camper. Not all slide-in campers will fit a utility bed without major modifications. Mine required no mods to work. Sold it to my neighbour a couple...

    jefe's hardside camper hauler

montypower I checked out your video on the rock sliders and rear bumper. Very well done. I'm going to ponder this and see if it can work with our Hallmark Cuchara. I''ve been wanting to eliminate those shin-busters since I got them. Thanks for the info.

    jefe's hardside camper hauler

Another thing about the Torklift camper tie downs - the wide-opening rear door on our super cab hits the Torklift Fast guns before the door reaches full open. Gotta be careful when windy. I should come up with a limiting strap but haven't gotten around to it.

    jefe's hardside camper hauler

jefe, By the way, the new truck looks great. I really like our 6.2 but the new engine/trans seems ideal.

    jefe's hardside camper hauler

jefe I did the same as you... called Happijac and asked about the lack of tie downs for the new Fords. That was back in early 2018 and they told me they were working on it. Guess they still are. I will say that, besides the problem of hanging out on the sides to be torn off by rocks, the...

    Sleeping bag or duvet?

I took the shortcut and just asked my wife. I then found out it's pronounced "du-vay" not "du-vet".

    Pop-ups with inside showers?

    Here's the Cuchara.

    Pop-ups with inside showers?

We have a Hallmark self-contained Cuchara. After 30 plus years of popup truck campers with no inside head/shower facilities we finally got tired (and too old) to heat water on the stove, fill and hang an outside camp shower off the side of the camper and bath in the cold wind. We've found the...

Very happy with Hallmark during the whole order and customizing phase.

I agree. Everyone at Hallmark is very helpful and accommodating. We stopped in and had a repair done in September (intermittent problem with the micro switch in the lift system). Fixed us up quick and had us on our way in no time, and at a very reasonable cost, too. Even though we bought our...

Thoughts on 2010 4runner trail edition?

We had a 2001 4 Runner and then got a new 2006 4-Runner (totaled in head-on collision with an un-insured driver). We bought our current 2010 Trail Edition brand new on the last day of '09. It has over 160,000 miles on it and runs as strong as it did brand new. Totally stock. We really liked...

    2002-2007 f250 V10 options

UHAULER: I drove a 1999 F-250 with the V-10 (stick shift) for our fire department and owned a 2000 F-250 with the V-10 (automatic). Both motors were pretty decent with the exception of oil usage. The '99 only had 50,000 miles on it when we sold it to the county and my '00 had 136,000 on it...

    Looking at a northstar tc800

I'll echo what Huntv said about wood rot. Look hard at the back where the lift mechanism attaches to the roof. Make sure there is no indication of the lift attachment starting to poke thru the roof. It would look like a bulge outside at the top corners. Peer up under the lip of the roof on...

    Warn Industries Supports Expedition Portal

Thanks, Andy. Since the bumper has a provision for a front license plate the flip up plate holder is now a non issue for me. I plan on getting the bumper soon.
