You can with the '08. Early '06-'07 builds you cannot unless you do the Atrac hack. They changed sometime in mid'07 to allow the use of both.

I agree, the access is kind of hard but mine is full so I really never need to get to it unless a fuse blows. Doing it over I would have run it on the passenger side to ease wiring from the dual battery but at the time I did not have the dual setup.
