I saw my first used needle on FS area above SLO, CA on Cuesta Ridge. I was bummed to see it, but not surprised as it is pretty close to that coastal town. I
I'm still running mine and zero problems. I have about 8k miles on them. I've taken them in several off road trips in desert when the engine was hit from high temps and climbing rocky roads. The manifolds have been heat cycled hotter than they ever got on the road I'm sure of it. Glad I bought...
Wonder if those would fit a stock gen3? It's currently on 265/75r16s.
Edit - nevermind... the 265s are only 31"...

I had rough idle, low idle and stalling issues that resolved with 50 dollar ebay MAF. It got worst after cleaning MAF - probably damaged it mot using the correct cleaner. I was shocked how much it helped.
The other thing that I was thinking it could have been was blocked cats. My buddy at work...
Wow, its like that truck was in a time capsule. Nice find and have fun with it. Do mind me asking what something like that sold for? I bet it was a steal for how much enjoyment you'll get out of it!!
Did the Afton river crossing in my stock 03 montero. I learned the the door seals stuck and the floorboard flooded with a few in of water. I figure it was 30ish in deep. Took out the mats and drove home with windows open and carpets were dry from desert heat and wind blowing. The north side of...
I looked at the pics and it's a nice truck. My problem is that I never know when to say enough and keep pouring money and time into a project. It's a nice looking truck for someone looking for a project. Did the tranny leave you stranded somewhere?
I think I solved my problem! I bought an Ebay MAF for $45. Bolted it on and it's like a new truck! What gave me the clue was this weekend, the truck was stalling completely out. It happened after cleaning the MAF with throttle body spray. I figured the spray made it worse. It was bogging down at...
Finally got the broken rail off. It was a partial headliner removal. Unfortunately my limited has an hvac duct right over the passenger rail. (The price you pay for comfort...) That was a few more screws to drop the duct and expose the rack mounts. Here is the broken center foot. Nothing but...
I'm in similar boat as you - I own a 03 limited but with 270k mi. I just picked up a 18 5th gen 4 runner Trd off road. You may have seen my other posts, where I'm dealing with mechanical gremlins on montero. I had to use "creativity" to pass CA emission test here in ca. I know I need a engine...
