One thing to consider is storage. Anything pop top will have a lot less storage then a hard high top. I think you will get more bang for your buck with a truck/camper combo. Saying that I have a high top E350 SMB I got years ago.
I’m thinking of going this route with a Klx300sm. Seems like a lot of low maintenance fun. I need to find the right tires for mountain twistys and fire roads.
Sportsmobiles have some nice outside showers with hot water. Doesn’t take up any precious inside space. I highly recommend a pop up changing room to shower in and a spot for the cassette toilet.
I have a 2003 sportsmobile EB27 with cruiser top(high). Upper and lower bed. The inward facing couches have seatbelts plus the 4 captain chairs. It has 57,000 miles. It’s not for sale BUT i would trade it for a really nice pop top van.
Located in Topeka Kansas. $1500 for the whole kit.
This dcu topper provides tons of storage options with the side tool boxes. I easily can fit 4 front runner storage boxes on each side. There are a few small stress cracks at the very back of the toppers internal frame. ARE recommended I get it...
