Are you still looking for a XV3? I have a 2020 fully equipped but without the galley. It’s never been used and the only miles it’s seen is from Schutt Industries to my place in Idaho. My plans changed after it was delivered and I’ve decided to sell it.

Hey, I got side tracked and forgot about this, do you still need the info?

Hey, my XV-3 came with a dual battery setup. I’ll look at your photos and check my battery setup in the morning. I’ll get back to you with what I find.

I also have the large cargo box but didn’t get the galley, already have a cooking setup I like. Schutt installed the batteries in the middle compartment of my cargo box. I’m moving them into the section with the switches, fuses, etc, and I agree it’s a tight fit. Can you put a couple photos up...

Space between roof rack and the roof.

Thanks everyone for the input, I appreciate it. I reached out to Rhino Rack and they said the only drawback is it might create more wind noise. I’ll post a couple photos after I’ve built the rack.

Space between roof rack and the roof.

I’ll build a rack/tray that hangs under the roof rack. This is on an 89 Suburban.

Space between roof rack and the roof.

I’ve got about three inches between the roof rack and the vehicle roof, is there any reason I can’t use that space? Will using it create more wind noise, decrease strength of attachment between the two, etc? I’m thinking I’ll fabricate a way to store my portable solar panels in that space.

    1994 Toyota Pickup Access Cab 4x4 V6 5 speed 85k mile survivor

I had the exact same truck in the same condition except it had 130K mileage. I luv’d that truck. Unfortunately it met its end after hitting ice and rolling several times on a Wyoming interstate last December. She was laying on her drivers side in the passing lane when she quit rolling. She...

Hey, what switch did you use for the LED strip in the box? I'm looking to switch all the Rigid lights on the Rhino rack. I don't need four on when just one will do. I've found what looks like a good option on McMaster-Carr website, its dust and water resistant. I checked Amazon but I'm not...

Nklxwcyz and I have been trading messages about upgrading the XVenture AGM batteries to lithium. I thought I'd pass on this info. If you're switching to lithium batteries and have a shore power port, and if you use it, on your trailer you need to upgrade the NOCO battery charger. You need a...

It has finally arrived. I ordered my XV-3 this time last year, with covid causing work stops and delays in getting components it was finished late last fall. I headed out to get it, I’m in Southern Idaho, the first week of December. Ice in Wyoming brought my trip to an end when I rolled my truck...

I asked Tim at Schutt about that a couple months ago. He told me their XV-3 manual was outdated and it was best to reference the manufacturer manual supplied for each system or part you have a question about.

My XV-3 is sitting at Schutt waiting for me to pick it up. One change I’ve already planned is pulling the AGM batteries and installing three Battleborn lithium 100’s. I also have an ARB high performance compressor I’m installing. I’ve got some customization ideas but can’t plan them out until I...

No photos of the trailer, I didn’t think to have Tim send me some. I got it wraped in the matte black. The suburban is already equipped for towing but I’m having the towing brake controller upgraded to a Redarc. I’m thinking I’ll head to Wisconsin to pick it up the first of March.

Good looking setup, I had the same shell on my truck, loved those gull wing side windows and so did my dogs. Like I said in a post above it was all destroyed a couple weeks ago when I hit a patch of ice and rolled. I’m anxious to get my XV-3 picked up from Schutt. By April my dogs and I will be...
