    My Dodge Dakota, the "Comvee"

What an awesome job on this. When I was about 19 or so, I had a 2WD Ranger that I had visions of this sort of build. I tent trailer that opened to the sides would replace my bed. Dabbled with the idea of converting to 4WD. Nova Scotia rust, lack of funds and location/gear to do the work killed...

Russian off-road vehicles that are in production today.

I had a 95 Niva here in Canada. I loved it, but spares were hard to come by in Nova Scotia. Had a Suzuki dealer in PEI that used to sell them and still had stock. Used to order from them. From an engineering standpoint it was a marvelous vehicle. Quality was OK where you needed it, not so much...

2015 Ford Ranger 2.5 Diesel CC, Winch, Body Protection. $23,000 USD

Here in North America, it's more important to get to soccer in comfort. And be entertained. I'd love to have one of these. Sick.

Subaru owners: Let's see your expedition rigs!

From our last weekender from Yellowknife down to the MacKenzie Highway. Want to explore more here in the future. Drive the winter roads from Wrigley to Colville Lake, above the Arctic Circle.

2013 Subaru Forester (SH9 3rd Gen) going the Expedition route

Looks like it works great! Can't wait to get mine lifted up before winter sets in and there's no more wrenching.

    Wagonofdoom - 2015 Outback build

That is looking pretty boss! Roof racks are hard to ditch once you use them a lot. Our little Impreza has a loadwarrior on it, and regular uses include canoe, camping, spare tire/jerry can for long/backcountry trips, home renos, furniture moving, on and on and on. It's like owning a truck...

I only wonder if the bumper can still bump things without smashing the lights.

    4WD/AWD vs Ground Clearance?

Hey all. Just thinking out the next vehicle ideas. I used to off road/explore in just about anything. Cars, trucks, bikes, etc. Anyways, I'm wondering, if one could have EITHER 4WD or even an AWD car-based platform, OR a 2WD rig with lots of room and/or bigger tires under it, what would you...

Better off walking it and then running it sometimes! LOL. Take your chances and blame yourself.

    Mazda B2600i 4x4 DD/fun project

I had one of these in 2WD, and it was one of my favourite vehicles so far. Only had 17 or so, though. Anyways, it was rugged, yet sporty. It had some issues before I bought it, like a leaky diaphragm on a load sensor on the automatic transmission, but she turned out to be a good runner. Made a...

    Fatbike Adventure Riders group

Joined! Stoked, as well. I started a local fatbike group on FB, but I am moving to Yellowknife soon, so it will be good to get into a broader group. Can't wait to get my camp on!

The ExPo Mountain Bike Photo Thread

Just got some new Vee Rubber Bulldozer tires on her, and a new 35mm Spank Spike stem. Ah, it rides soooo nice now. Can't wait to load her up again soon. Will get lots of kilometers on her when we move to Yellowknife, methinks. More proper pics as they come.
