I have just returned from France and I carred the Adventure Skottle in my luggage. I did not take it as carry on, although I don't think it would have been a big issue. The long legs of the regular Skottle would not work as carry on.
The JetBoil MightyMo stove will fit in the Skottle carry bag with no problem. You can even store a gas canister as well. We are testing the MightMo for wind, so the jury is still out. The flame on the Jetboil is very strong, so a moderate breeze should be fine.
