I run the same IPAD 2. The configuration with GAIA works fine..everywhere I have gone in the Canada/US/Mexico. Just an FYI- although it is 3G - I don't need/use the 3G for GPS apps

IF it works for a 2007 = that would make for some serious overlanding range...

You might want to check out GAIA GPS= it allows for satellite imagery

I think I prefer the old school version...

Been using one of these for a couple of years. +1 on the clean up
