    Suspension Edumication...

This whole mess started because i wanted to fit 33's. Well ran out of time when one of my tires blew, so i ended up getting a 2" level kit and fitting a size smaller than 33's, dont remember the actual size. But now my front shocks are done for and i need to replace them soon. So i thought if i...

    Suspension Edumication...

Hey everyone, thanks for stopping by. So researching suspension options can really give a dude one hell of a headache. Confusion reigns supreme in my head at the moment. So far, this is what i've "learned"; please feel free to add, subtract or correct... - Simplest and easiest: add a 2"...

    Ground Clearance Needs

Thanks for all the replies everyone. Im in Las Vegas, so I get some sand, some gravel and lots of bushes. Roads aren't too bad unless u go after the rain. Lots of ruts everywhere I go and the occasional rock outcrop in the middle of the road sometimes. So typical Southwestern terrain. I'll run...

33's on Silverado with 2" Level Kit, Possible???

Hey everyone, thanks for stopping by. I'm in a bit of a bind that i need to figure out quickly. Sorry if this has been asked, couldn't do a quick search. I need new tires, and I was waiting until i got the most out of the stock ones before I moved on to something better. Well last night I got to...

    Ground Clearance Needs

Yeah, stock rims and using a 2" rough country leveling kit for now. I was told that i should be able to fit 33's with no rubbing. We'll see. Ultimately i want a 3" lift with better upper control arms and either fox or bilsteins all around, but local and online shops seem to be out of stock...

    Ground Clearance Needs

Hello everyone, I just wanted to reach out to the hyve for it's opinion on how much ground clearance is really needed for normal, i.e. not rock crawling, over landing??? i have a 2014 Silverado which recently had a 2" leveling kit installed. Looking to put probably 275/70R18 tires on it, if they...

    Time to Replace Old Parts

Perfect! I was actually going to ask if bilstein made something like this. I think that might settle it for me. the Fox look nice not to say the Icon, but $$$ and real use dictate something a bit different. Then again, the budget just took a hit when I found out that the car needs new shoes too...

    Time to Replace Old Parts

If i go the Bilstein route i will do most of the work, but probably take the struts to a shop and have them swap out the shocks. Don't really want to mess with compressing/decompressing the springs. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

    Time to Replace Old Parts

I hear you all, it is tempting to splurge a little, but i don't want to end up having splurged and never really using it. I mean I will, but i will not be racing down the trails in the desert, so I don't need tons of performance. I think of it more of a utilitarian use lol. can someone out there...

    Time to Replace Old Parts

This is my daily drivee/baby, so im not really looking to get too aggressive. But the wants have a way of outpacing the needs, until the wallet brings u back to reality. If i could splurge i would go with this...

    Time to Replace Old Parts

@CrazyDrei wow, thanks for ur long reply. Let me try and answer some of the questions u asked. Budget, all in, i want to (need to) stay less than $2500. Thats anything and everything that has to happen. Tires and anything suspension that needs to be done. I'll be doing the work myself, and if i...

    Time to Replace Old Parts

@Grassland thanks for that, i was actually reading thru his build, pretty cool stuff and lots of good information. I was also looking around for older threads, i remember there was another member with the same year/model truck as mine and if i remember correctly all he did was add king shocks to...
