    Edgestar Fridge Modifications Thread

Amazon has them, good heavy duty cord. I have a Whynter fridge, but believe they are basically identical to the edgestars. Hope this is allowed, here's a link: Power Cord

I can help ya with the button twists, I just purchased a bunch myself. You can get them off Amazon, but this was the best place I found them. https://www.dotfasteners.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=button+twist I need help finding the tarp clips like you also. No luck on those yet.

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

I have a problem with complicating things just to see if I can do it. It's the same reason my RTT rack on my trailer has 16" of lift from linear actuators.

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

It's been a couple weeks, but I built a fridge slide. Then since I like to complicate things, it seemed interesting and I just wanted to do it to amuse myself, I pneumatically actuated it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=v566tvMJ7Jo

Barn Door for JK factory hardtops

I'm a fan of the tank on the doors setup. I'd rather have it there than on the fender. Just my preference I guess, no real reason other than aesthetics.

Barn Door for JK factory hardtops

I have 2 weimaraners(considered large breed by AKC) that go everywhere with me, especially on trips. They both fit in the back of my 2 door with a fridge. Here is a pic of one of them with the fridge. It is a whynter 45qt. I also have a trailer that everything else goes into though...

Barn Door for JK factory hardtops

My RTT doesn't have straps either. I just fold the bag in half before shutting everything up, nothing slides down in a heap that way either. Strap isn't a bad idea though if you don't want to deal with unfolding the sleeping bag when you open the tent.

Barn Door for JK factory hardtops

That was a thought too since I need 1/4" plywood for another fiberglassing project. Building bracing like that would also give me a place to hide wiring for a CHMSL, and a second higher backup cam to use when towing my trailer. I may be able to use the excess from my other project to fab a barn...

Barn Door for JK factory hardtops

Thank you for the information. I was considering either 1/2" or 3/4" plywood for the basic frame shape that would be replacing the glass. I don't know if that will be strong enough to not flex against the seal though. I would just use a standard rv window or I may not even put a window in...

Barn Door for JK factory hardtops

Thank you for clarifying that for me. I may give it a go and attempt a barn door type of replacement for the glass. I'm not real sure where to begin with it exactly.

Barn Door for JK factory hardtops

Yeah, I saw you (now that I've gone through posts on here with your photo), I was standing on that end of the tent on the other side by a plastic drum, just outside the clothing booth. The glass itself appears to be flat, to get the bottom of the glass to seal with the tailgate they used...

Barn Door for JK factory hardtops

Been a while since I've gotten on here and checked this thread. Good ideas and you're great at turning them into usable products. I was at EJS and I thought that was you in the vendor tent, but I wasn't sure. I should have just asked... I had wanted to have a conversation with you about your...

How do you provide for charging a battery located in a trailer while your driving ?

If it has a 7 pin plug, one of the wires should be a heavier gauge (perhaps 10ga.) wire that goes to the vehicle battery. That should keep a charge on the trailer while driving if it is connected to the trailer batteries. On my personal vehicle and offroad trailer I ran a wire off my...
