Yes, it's 2600lbs dry with a tongue weight of 200-280lbs depending on how you load out the forward boxes. Full tank of water adds ~350lbs and tank is behind "axle".
We usually travel with a 1/2 tank of water (18gal @ ~10lb/gal =180lbs) as ballast to push the CoG back a bit. Fully packed we run...
Original build sheet shows 2015 model year but trailer was delivered and is titled as a 2016 and we're the second owners. The original purchaser suffered an injury and was unable to use the trailer by the time it was delivered. It was stored indoors until we purchased in 2018 and titled it in WA.
2016 model year Moby1 XTR series off road teardrop style expedition trailer. Never used or registered until 2018. Fully optioned, original build totaling $38k with many post-purchase upgrades.
60” width cabin model - Length 9’ cabin (13’ tongue-tail), Height 6’6”, loaded with water weight 2900...
Not 4", and not cheap at $100/pair, but these Trail-Tailor mounts are great. Bare or PC'd steel w/stainless fasteners.
I used them on an Eezi-Awn 59" rack with a 60" width trailer roof and had plenty to spare in terms of width.
5.25-7.25" height-adjustable.
Any chance your travels take you through Flagstaff in the near future? I'm in the PNW but have a truck that will be in Flagstaff in Jan for some work. Would take three of the diesel cans and just have them shipped back in the truck.
... and got the Eezi-Awn K9 71"x59" rack mounted on the existing pseudo gutters. Thanks to Paul @Equipt for brainstorming how to span the center cross bars to pick up the middle feet.
K9 awning brackets luckily worked great with the mounting towers that we supplied. The awning is tucked up...
So @VORSHEER installed the Timbren 5200lb suspension on our trailer this week and we're very happy with how it turned out. Threw them a bit of a curve ball with the Toyota 17"steel rims we have on it and the backspacing on them required fitting wheel spacers which hung things up for a couple...
Oh, and these. A little bit ghetto but they work and I like them.
Lid strut
Magnets
Hood props on tailgate struts. We have an awning mounted on the hatch and when it gets wet the struts won't hold open.
They also serve as a good reminder to close the cabinets before closing the hatch and...
So with that sorted, on to the roof rack...
The aluminum rack that came on the trailer is over-engineered and too bulky/heavy for what we need. It has a huge mount for a Hannibal free-standing awning we don't have, and dimensional stock/design to carry way more weight than we'll ever put up...
Thanks for reaching out, Davin. Vorsheer will be installing the 5200lb Timbren setup on our trailer in Sept.
Turns out it was just a classic case of crossed comms, and I should have just phoned. Glad you've brought David on board to handle the customer-facing stuff and let Steve focus more on...
We also redid our electric. We purchased the trailer new from the original owner but they had let it sit for over a year with no charger connected. The batteries had sulfated and no longer held a full charge. They also had not opted to add an inverter to their build.
We upgraded to two 150Ah...
I was ready to lug it down UT to have that done, but after some initial discussions with Steve he stopped responding to emails. After the 3rd non-response I figured I was on my own here. That's OK, they don't owe me service and support and I want to use my trailer.
