Simple solution would be a sliding bolt latch on one or both sides. Just make sure you get one that can't rattle closed going down the road and lock you out. If they're the same latches as the barn doors and hatches use they come out from the inside with a #2 Philips real easy, just carry a...

I run the HS2000 in my 6ft bed midsized truck, it can increase air temp by about 60°F running constantly, the air heats up fairly quickly(maybe 20-30 min to 55-60°F when its about 20°F out), but the thermal mass of all the cold gear take all night in cold temps and the aluminum of the camper and...

Just bought a '22 Frontier SV

255/75R17 or 265/70R17 should both fit, and in a P metric won't ruin fuel economy. I recommend buying whatever AT tires the shops in your area stock so if you need a replacement you're not waiting for a week. For me that is Toyo, Falken, or Cooper. Though they rarely have the 255/80R17 tires I...

I run a 4" mattress with the extra height(10"). My bedding has to come down or I push it to the very front and don't fully slide the bed in. My mattress is very firm 2" latex and 2" of 50lb foam so it barely compresses, I have the older hinge design and there is barely room under it for a 4"...

So I ran them along the underside of the roof to the rear. Then attached them to the hinge like the 3rd brake light wiring is. I do have the older aluminum tubing style popup. I don't have a photo, but something like this, but in the rear.

    Need Rotopax vent

A bulkhead fitting would work, might be finnicky to install though.

Which USED CC LWB Frontier to Get?

While I'm partial to D40 CC LWB Frontiers. The colorado and canyon are only about 10% more expensive used, they aren't Taco priced. I think there are more CC LWB trucks too. Might be easier to find than Frontier.

I'm using foamfactory.com 2" Lux HQ foam and 2" Dunlop Latex toppers for a 4" mattress. It only fits in the 10" cabover by pulling the doubled up mattress back so the hinge doesn't hit it, bedding gets pushed up under the hinge in front of the mattress. The latex is very heavy and it's fairly...

2019 Frontier SV 4x4 Crew Cab LWB weekend adventure truck build

I haven't updated in a while. Here's the short list for now. Propex heater installed, working great Insulation is in except for the sides/front of the truck bed. Still need to cover the installation with some kind of cloth. 10lb propane tank on an Expedition Essentials mount installed on rear...

Here are some photos. Lower doors are attached by those three bolts into the rivnuts on the lower door. Propex mounted in my partially finished cabinet. The box in the upper left of that wiring mess is a DC thermal 50A heater I installed today, to preheat the camper and gear, so the propex...

Thanks! I'll get some photos of the doors tomorrow. I don't miss the tailgate at all, my last truck had a fiberglass canopy and closing the tailgate behind me was a pain that I don't miss. It's also very nice being able to use the bumper as a step into the back, I'd need a stool if I still had...

Not sure how I missed this thread. Lots of good info. Here is my truck build, gets into the camper about page 4, but I haven't put too much of the camper build up yet, too much fun getting out using it and working over time to pay for all the gas. I can second Ovrlnds great communication and...

    Frontier Wedge Camper. Yucca Pac

Vagabond says 315# for a 5ft base model now. I'm sure they can hit 450+lbs with windows, racks, and such on a 6ft bed. I know Ovrlnds can be 275# for a 6ft bed, Mine's around 300#'s, but I got full barn doors to delete my tailgate, so it only added about 270#'s before building it up with solar...

    Frontier Wedge Camper. Yucca Pac

Nice to see another company supporting Frontiers. Not sure how they figure they're the lightest 4 season canopy camper. 390-450# is pretty heavy for a canopy camper, Ovrlnd, Vagabond, and GFC all come in between 250-350# for a mid sized. Even the hard side Hiatus is 460-480# on a midsized truck...
