Anyone go from LC to Wrangler?

The 33" with 4.10's will be a great combination. I ran 33's with the factory 3.73 for several years with no issues. Lots of low range 3rd and 4th gear "crawling" on tight trails with the standard 2.72:1 transfer case. I cannot speak to the JL's shifter but if it is anything like the JK's mushy...

    2XL (Real) Tops

You might try on some Columbia shirts at REI (I saw you were in Eugene). Their shirts seem "right-sized" to me.

    12V Refrigerator Questions

Since you have a Jackery, I can add that I run my ARB Classic 37qt with a Goal Zero 200x plugged into a 12v socket (limited to 5 amps max) and either 50W solar or just the Goal Zero, when I'm parked. These (at least the ARB Classic) are insulated so well that it does not run that much, even in...

    TPMS? Battery life?

Hi, the sensor batteries are not replaceable and, yes ~10 years is the upper end of their estimated life. Replacements will work the same - you do not have to get (expensive) OEM sensors. The B210 code is likely your main battery.

Working from JL going down the road?

Yes, correct - now I am jealous :)

Working from JL going down the road?

From what I hear from my sailboat racing friends (using the RV system - also a TOS violation), you should be fine with the StarLink. Your monitor(s) might not like the Jeep's inverter (I assume it's not actual AC sine wave) but you can wire the Jackery to your 12V and use its AC. Are you taking...

    Morryde hinge/gate reinforcement issue

I cannot remember if mine came out before or after I installed the MORryde hinges, but either way it is not an uncommon problem, particularly when you add weight on the tailgate. To fix it, I drilled a vertical hole through the fat end of the limiter bar and used some threaded 1/4" rod with lock...

    Minimum Equipment List JKU

I carry a tool roll like shays4me. I actually try to use those tools for all of the work that I do on my Jeep - about the only time that I have to go to my "shop tools" is for 1/2 drive stuff, a torque wrench, or a 24mm socket for the oil filter. I carry a good-quality ABC fire extinguisher in...

    BFG's on WK2

Ugh, yep not any options there. Might make more sense to look for some 17" Laredo takeoffs, then.

    GEARS..??

This chart is pretty good: www.offroaders.com/tech/gear-ratio-chart.htm Just subtract an inch on the tire size, to account for the compression of the tire. I have 34-inch tires (33-inch effective) with 4.56 gears and the factory speedo gear is dead-on ('89 Suburban, though - so maybe a bit...

    Suburban/Tahoe barn door question...

We have a Suburban with the barn doors and a Durango with the "minivan" lift gate. They're both okay - you can reach stuff inside easier than you can leaning over a tailgate (especially a wet one!). The liftgate takes a lot of room behind the vehicle when you lift it, and if you leave it lifted...

Battery to battery charger? Any suggestions

I'm interested in this, too. Been looking at the Sterling and the CTEK.

    Dutch Matrix's suburban build

You can use this chart to compare your original factory tire-size and gear ratio, to your new tire-size and various gear ratios. You will probably find that something in the 4:88 range will provide similar RPM at various speeds.
