The 8spd trans should be a major improvement in fuel economy and overall drivability in the new powerwagon. I vote new Power Wagon. It’s just hard to beat that truck when you come down to it.

Power wagon with the 8spd should be the best heavy duty truck out there for overlanding at this point. The half ton 8spd is pretty dang good so the 6.4 with an 8spd should be pretty impressive.

The KL cherokee has low range and a locker in the trailhawk version. They are very capable vehicles. My wife had one and it was dead reliable, got pretty decent mpg, and was fun to drive. I actually really miss that vehicle.

I've got a 2014 2500 with 6.4, 3.73 gears and 35's. I average around 13-14 but like you mine is capable of getting 18 on a long trip if I keep my foot out of it. The 6.4 really is a great motor and fairly economical for a big block v8.
