I'm 100% willing to say that we spend more time RVing than off-grid camping. We started camping, then moved to a popup trailer, then a small (16ft) trailer. I also motorcycle camp, and we have a RTT I can throw on the SUV if I want to get way off in the woods. But I don't get way off in the...
Here is the reality:
All the websites (even this one). All the social media. It's all funded by gear. And I don't say that condescendingly.
It's not just Overlanding. Look at any outdoor enthusiast website or magazine. You have to sell something to keep moving. I can't think of a single...
I've been enjoying it so far. The Harley's seem half baked and full of issues. The Rivians seem to be well on their way to being competent little trucks. I really like the tow mode for charging...clever idea.
I liked the SL, but the Pro4x was more my style (plus I like the color matched grill, with black insert).
It's a great truck. I think you'll like it. It does have some minor annoyances (mostly related to electric stuff inside).
If you end up building some parts up, please post when you do. I...
That does seem to be an issue. There seem to be parts trickling out for XD trucks, but not much on the non-XD side.
Many of the bumpers I've looked at say XD only. The body panels on both are the same (I think), but I'm guessing the frame mounts would be different between the XD and non-XD...
I almost bought one, but ended up with the non-XD Pro4x instead. The diesel just really didn't seem to be worth it IMO. I liked the way the smaller gasser drove way more than the diesel XD.
I've only had it about a month and a half, but I'm trying to track down some stuff already. If I get to...
Just want to throw my support behind the REI Half-Dome 2+ :victory:
We have a couple different tents (and a pop-up camper), but the Half-dome 2+ is my go to if I'm heading out for a weekend, or a back-packing trip. I LOVE it.
Anyone else out there with a 2017 Titan (non-XD)?
I'd like to start kitting mine out a little, but I'm not finding much in the way of parts. It looks like there are only two bull bar options currently, and I've found 1 set of rock sliders (calmini). I think I'm going to hold off and see if ARB...
Here is the thing about a KLR:
It is simple and highly capable (for travel) right out of the box. Just throw some soft bags on the back and go...nothing else required. And it isn't going to leave you stranded 50 miles from the nearest town, in the desert, with no cell reception because the...
I feel like I went wrong somewhere:
Really, I needed a bigger truck to pull our pop-up camper long distances. I got my wife and daughter into camping (they love it), but my wife preferred the pop-up over tent camping. I'm willing to give a little if it means a couple weekends out under the...
