Any chance we can revive this thread and stick to discussing the Runva? Actual user experiences and reliability testing would be awesome. If the Runva is a decent quality winch, it's a smoking deal for Canadian buyers...
The OEM lockers are great but I wouldn't get too hung up on them. Many of the OEM locked 80's have been wheeled hard and it wasn't a terribly common option in North America. I would focus more on finding the cleanest example possible as a base to start from. If you find you want lockers there...

Common rail means the size of the hole(s) on the end of the injector will be very small (much smaller than you would find in an indirect injected motor like the 4m40 in a Gen 2 Paj or a 1HZ in a 70 series). ULSD is less likely to contain particles of a size that may foul common rail injectors...
How much of a lift did you get out of the LWB springs on your shorty? I've been considering the same but more with the increased load capacity in mind for my added weight (RTT (180lbs.), drawers, 47L ARB, etc.).
If it helps you at all there is a very similar 80 series for sale in the Vancouver area for about $2000 USD less. No drawers but an ARB twin compressor and sliders so I would call it a push in terms of value. That particular truck has sat on craigslist for over a month so you might be slightly...
I have 31x10.5 R15's on my 95 SWB 2.8. They've never been a problem and didn't require a lift or any trimming. Next go around will probably be 33's with a 2" lift so I vote going directly to the 33 if you've already budgeted for it.
Agreed. I was thinking more that style minus the rear mount winch to take a little heft off the rear end. These guys do some pretty nice work on 80 series cruisers and tacoma's close to my place. They also offer custom services so worth a look.
