Canyonland's WHITE RIM ROAD - Tacoma and Dirtbikes

Great Report - Love the pictures Boll Rig, I really enjoyed reading this report and the pictures were awesome. Also love seeing your old XR, what a great bike. I ride an older XR400 and love it. About the haze that a few people mentioned, it is very likely emissions from the Hunter and...

    Poor MK Quality Control!!!! Again!

That's unfortunate. Not to contradict, but just to offer my experience, I bought my first MK products a few months ago in the form of 2 pairs of the Original Mountain Pants (one lined and one un-lined). Between the 2 pairs I found the sizing to be consistent, and the quality thus far has been...

Utility Trailer With Elevated RTT + Dirt Bike Transportation

Guilty of Thread Neglect My apologies for seemingly abandoning this thread. I am going to go forward with the idea as described in my first post - a basecamp type trailer with an elevated RTT platform. As for the trailer itself, I've been shopping for the sweet spot of...

Utility Trailer With Elevated RTT + Dirt Bike Transportation

Essentially yes, I've just never seen an open utility trailer fitted with a ladder rack. But yes, that is ultimately what I'm looking at doing. The higher wall landscape trailer could be good but I think it would be a little too cage-like for me personally and might limit loading options in...

Utility Trailer With Elevated RTT + Dirt Bike Transportation

Hello all, I'm considering a trailer project that could transport a few dirt bikes to a camp destination and then serve as a basecamp with a rooftop tent. In my case, I have no real desire to make this trailer capable of traversing the Rubicon, but rather more suited for relatively tame...

    Looking for my first MTB

Thanks to you all for the replies. And to EMrider, yes I plan on buying from a local bike shop. The internet is great for a lot of things, but I want to establish a relationship with a local shop for maintenance, tune-ups, future purchases, etc. To add a bit of information... -Yes, I...

    Looking for my first MTB

So, the last bike that I owned was a 20" Haro BMX style bike circa 1990, and after that I started riding a dirtbike and never looked back. Fast forward 23 years and now I have a 5 year old son that I'd like to ride bikes with. For a while I'm sure that we'll be spending some time on bike...

Source for 1 Gallon Metal Jerry Cans

Glad to hear a positive note from someone with one. The Atlantic British can and the "Baby Jerry Can" on DO look a lot alike, but I like the price on the Atlantic British can a bit better. (Can + shipping = less than the DO can before shipping)

Source for 1 Gallon Metal Jerry Cans

I appreciate the info. I might wait a bit and see what pops up on CTD and Sportsman's because the can from roverparts will be $36 with shipping. I want one of these cans but that is a bit high for a 5L can.

Source for 1 Gallon Metal Jerry Cans

Looks new? Thanks for finding that. It looks brand new, I assume it is? I actually like the handle design of the military surplus can that I posted a picture of (looks like the handle would somewhat protect the spout) but a brand new can would be nice.... Thanks again!

Source for 1 Gallon Metal Jerry Cans

More info... Thanks. What I'm looking for may be more accurately called a "5 liter Oil can" so just a bit more than 1 US gallon. I've only seen them a few times and each time they were Czech military surplus. I'll attach a picture from this link where they were apparently sold at one time...

Source for 1 Gallon Metal Jerry Cans

Does anyone here know of a source for 1 gallon metal "NATO style" Jerry cans? Some time ago someone either here or on ih8mud posted a link to Cheaper Than Dirt where they were selling some surplus 1 gallon cans, but that was some time ago. Thanks for any leads.
