Maybe Mud is a better place to post this up, but had the OEM windscreen replaced today. I picked up a stone from a log truck during our Canada trip and the crack had now migrated more than a third of the way across from the passenger side.
OEM windscreen out showed very little corrosion and...
Trying this out… not sure I am sold on it yet and will probably take a few trips to decide if it is an overall positive or negative.
I found a Weatherguard 336-3 a few weeks ago (see back a page) and against some better judgment, I decided to clean it up and mount it in the Chaser.
Before...
@Rube2K6 I was thinking the same. And then I thought “is it, though?” My Chaser doesn’t have a rear mounted spare/swing out. And what does that weight? And this is 48” long overall which means more than a third of the weight is over or in front of the axel as compared to the spare and...
I did a thing…. Weatherguard 336-3 that is 48x20wx 13h. Interior is 10 high. Thinking it will roll out nicely out the back. Need to decide how far this is going to go. An old Coleman 413 would fit nicely if I cut the center rib out of it. It’s heavy. Home Depot lists the weight as...
Thanks, all. I lost track of this thread with a big project at work. I appreciate all the ideas.
If I were to use this blue sea switch under the hood, starter battery as 1, trailer battery as 2, and combined load and charging at 3 (1+2) can someone explain why that would not work. I...
Guess I want to do something others think is crazy, but I have been struggling to leverage the battery in the front of my 06 Chaser trailer in a way to power my fridge while at camp, charge while underway, be charged with a solar blanket while at camp, and generally be a "remote" dual battery...
@Littlefish Wow, I remember seeing that some time ago. That guy has really kitted his trailer out. Lot of custom features. The tailgate on a Horizon must be a lot taller than the Chaser (16x32) to allow for the fridge slide and those drawers.
Maybe a drawer from the back of a TJ or JK would...
Made a few trips this fall, including a run across the Trans Wisconsin Adventure Trail, did some work on my outdoor kitchen setup. Repurposed Cabellas folding table with a Weber Q1200 grill operating off the 5# tank.
The fender table provides prep space at an easy height. I haven’t quite...
Not the most glamorous... but its what keeps it all going. All OEM parts.
Land Cruiser timing belt and water pump replacement. Mileage - 194K. Most expensive sticker on the truck.
During repair noted minor abnormal noise from timing belt tensioner pulley, timing belt idler pulley. fan...
