Head gasket change on a 95 SR 3.5 L question

Thanks for the input guys. To be honest, i thought it would be much simpler. Other than of course getting the heads machined, I didn't realize there would be so much involved. I'm going to look in to having a shade tree mechanic do it for me.

Head gasket change on a 95 SR 3.5 L question

I used to be fairly active on here, but due to life in general I have been on a bit of a hiatus. My Monty is still running strong, except for ...you guessed it, a blown headgasket.. Just wondering who of you have had to deal with this situation, and if you did the repair yourself, what was...

RichardT's 95 Montero SR Build Thread

Really?? That's a bummer if true. I checked their website and it's down, but they still updated their FB page in March. I haven't spoken to them since I left SoCal in '13, maybe their site is just down? Those guys seemed to know their stuff pretty well, and as far as off-road shops go, they were...

She's a cutie!! And I agree on the whole purebred thing. All breeds had to be mixed at some point to get where they are now. Sent from my iPhone

    Back from the dead....

Sounds like a great dog! Too bad she's gun shy, might've made a great hunter :(. I love that she showed up those other dogs, that's awesome :), some people get far too hung up imo on whether a dog is purebred or not, if they have the desire and the skill, nothing else really matters. I'd love...

    Back from the dead....

Checked out the site, looks like a lot of fun, gonna try to make it, though probably just for a day trip. Gotta figure out if I'll be bringing the family, or flying solo (just bring the dog) Thanks! Sent from my iPhone

    Back from the dead....

They're great for sure, even with kids if you have em. I've taken Drake for pheasant, chukar (planted) and waterfowl. He lives for it. Have you decided on a breeder? Have you found a good trainer also? Or will you be doing most of the training? I know a great breeder, and also a great trainer if...

    Back from the dead....

Hey Jon, long shot, I ended up figuring a way to keep my dog and my truck, no sad country song here :). Anyways, do you still do any local exploring? I've been wanting to get out since I've had my Monty fixed finally. Sent from my iPhone

my hunting and family outing rig

Nice, do you remember the brand? Or even maybe have a link to them on Amazon? I've been wanting to upgrade the horn on my Monty since I bought it, there was a while I was thinking about getting a train horn (when I still lived in California, lol) now in the Pacific Northwest I don't want it THAT...
