Thoroughly enjoyed reading your build front to back. I love that you visited GreenRidge State Forest. One of my favorite places to camp, have spent countless nights at most of the sites there.

Big Booty Judy - 2014 DC Tundra Build w OVRLND Camper

Camper looks great. Always been a big fan of this build.

Strength of a truck bed, 2.5 Gen Tundra to be specific.

You shouldn't have a problem. But I would definitely advise bed stiffeners. Long term there is the possibility of the bed side warping/slightly bending outward from the fact that the weight of a rack with a tent on it is being almost solely distributed to the bedsides. If that happens your...

    2014 Toyota Tundra SR5 Build

Wow beautiful truck! Looks really clean with the colormatched bumper too. I love those wheels. With the tires and spacers the stance is perfect. Would love to see how it looks with the Fuels mounted too. So I finally got around to setting a day aside to install the winch. This started with...

    2014 Toyota Tundra SR5 Build

These are the factory TRD Off Road wheels which are +60 offset. I had to run a 1.25" spacer to clear the stock UCA. In addition i had to pull off the front mudflaps and trim the edge of the fender liner just a tad. It wasnt bad at all and now i have zero rub.

It's about a 3" lift on 295's and 1.5" in the rear. That should look great with 285's as well, not sure if you'd still need a spacer or not though. I hope you get that Platinum. They really are great trucks. Very nice garage you've got there in your signature too.

    2014 Toyota Tundra SR5 Build

Did some camping the last couple of days. Truck did great as always. Explored a lot of trails, always happy with how this barebones OME suspension does so well for my needs. Set up camp at this site the first 2 nights by the water. Did a lot of fishing and a lot of cooking. My dog...

    2014 Toyota Tundra SR5 Build

Got the first camping trip in the books for the year. Started off with 65 and sunny. Found a somewhat open site with some great spots for my hammock. My dog was enjoying it. Drove a lot of trails and found many beautiful spots that I pin and save for later as a potential camp site...

    2014 Toyota Tundra SR5 Build

Thanks! I love the 4.6. I don't tow much and when i do it meets my needs, otherwise the mpg is worth the downgrade of power from a 5.7. I definitely suggest some maintenance items like spark plugs, tire pressure, alignment etc. They're all small changes that can add up to a fairly noticeable...

    2014 Toyota Tundra SR5 Build

Thank you. I think the Tundra is a great option for a smaller pop-up. That's probably the direction i will head in as well. I'd like to build a custom popup similar to a 4Wheel Camper Project M or GFC style with a popup mechanism. The payload stock isn't great but bags etc can amend it. I have...

    2014 Toyota Tundra SR5 Build

Had some colleagues at work that have zero interest in cars tell me the truck "looks really cool". I think so too! Couple pics from the other day, the app i used to edit them slightly distorted the pics. There's no camber in person. The BD XL's with the amber driving combo lens are great. Have...

    Tundra UTE Flatbed Build Begins

Very cool build. Love flatbeds. The white steelies are a great touch, you have the aussie look down pat.

    2014 Toyota Tundra SR5 Build

Thanks for the kind words. Utah is beautiful. I think its a great platform for a popup camper, that's the direction i anticipate going in as well. Looking to build one from scratch between a 4WheelCamper Project M style vs a GFC style with a space frame and a pop up top. Gunpowder is one of my...

    2014 Toyota Tundra SR5 Build

Next step was further fine finishing and paint. Went over all the welds from 40 to 120 grit flap discs. Then I got an orbital sander with a 120 grit pad and this really got things where I wanted. Used Rustoleum self etching primer. This was after 3 coats. Next was laying down the...
