Diesel Gladiator with a Manual!!! Is it coming 2020?

You will be wishing you had the 4.0 engine in your new jeep after you do some repairs. The new over-head cam engines are very technical and expensive to fix.

    1980 CJ7 build

You may need to grind the corner of one or two ring gear teeth to get the pin out. I have seen this done before and it really doesn't affect performance because the pinion gear does not contact there anyway. In the future you could get a notched pin.

    Best Overland Channels on YouTube

The I am Jake channel is getting hard to watch and take seriously. It seems he makes drastic unexpected moves and doesn't really explain anything. He will take months to get to a certain point and then all of a sudden he is taking things apart again and redoing them in a slightly different...

1000 HP Maximus Gladiator to see limited release soon

Why would you even want 1000hp in a jeep? Sounds like they have run out of unique ideas.

Jeep XJ Pop Top Camper Build

Its too bad that the Gibson header does not come with any expansion joints like some of the other brands do. I also think that the Cherokee/Wrangler exhaust systems should have a woven stainless flex joint some where in the exhaust piping to allow for movement when the motor torques under load.

Suitable trailer for small travel trailer build

Aluminum is 1/3 the weight of carbon steel, but also 3x the cost. I would say to build the frame from steel and use aluminum for cladding. Aluminum could be riveted together as well to limit the welding time.

Winter driving with 4x4 lift and knobby tires.

BFG K0's are a winter/snow rated all terrain tire. I would say that they are a very good alternative for people who do not want to buy a dedicated winter tire set.

A Discussion of Differing Points of View: Is Jeep Leasing an Intelligent Choice or a Dumb One ??

Its too bad that jeeps and muscle cars aren't more affordable today. I think people will eventually reason that price and practicality are more important than looks and styling. At that point I think muscle cars and other "fun" vehicles will fade away.

    Honda/ Subaru/ Toyota

I am not totally sold on the necessity of a all wheel drive SUV versus a sedan car. I have a 2003 VW TDI Jetta which I have driven a lot and it has returned very good MPG's , been very reliable , easy to work on and reasonable in snow/ice conditions. I live in Saskatchewan, Canada and we get...

It’s Here! Jeep Wrangler with Diesel News

Yes you can really upgrade these little engines and they seem to take the abuse for awhile anyway. I guess my original plan from the start was to NOT spend a ton of money on upgrades because in my mind it defeats the purpose of putting a fuel efficient engine in. If you spend $2000 plus on...

It’s Here! Jeep Wrangler with Diesel News

Mine is a 1999 so it has the AX-15 transmission and unfortunately the Dana 35 axle. I wish I could afford an unlimited as that extra 15" would great to have on trips.

It’s Here! Jeep Wrangler with Diesel News

I have a Jeep TJ with a VW diesel (1.9l ALH code). I have a very mild tune on it so it is not a powerhouse but gets the job done with 35 mpg mileage. After working on Jeep Grand Cherokee's Diesel's I wanted something very simple and this thing is so easy to repair. And If I don't like something...

    1999 Jeep Sahara TJ

It is a VW ALH code engine. I don't have many other pictures during install since I needed this done fairly quick as it is a backup vehicle for me. I completed it in my garage in about 1.5 months working only in the evenings after work. Most of the wires you see in the back driver side are the...

    1999 Jeep Sahara TJ

I have just installed a TDI motor into my Jeep TJ. Everything else is stock other than 31in tires, with the hopes of getting about 35mpg.
