EGT is exhaust gas temperature. Basically get it too hot and you melt your pistons. Plan on a safe 240 hp. Guys are building 300hp 366LAs all day long, but with much improved cooling systems and much larger intercoolers. I always build them a bit conservative so I don't blow them up.
