    Any "Sportsmobiles" near Seattle?(closed)

I'm in Bellingham if that's not too far to travel for you? I have a 2006 RB50 with SMB 4x4 and poptop.

And now the moment you didn't know you've been waiting for...Atl-Atl's 4x4 Ford E350 RV documentation thread!!

Tell us about the camper box. Is it wood frame or aluminum? That total weight on your rig is well below my 10,000 pound E350 4x4 Sportsmobile but the 4x4 axles, transfer case driveshafts, etc do add weight. I'll be curious to see what yours weighs when you are done.

    Jaleo 2- Building a 2012 E-350 4x4-Third time is the charm

The end of the tailpipe for the heater on my van was in the rear wheel well and I moved it. Dirt and water got in it and settled in the lowest point of the pipe and made mud and blocked the tailpipe. I just moved it enough so wheel spray wouldn't fly into the tailpipe and it's been better since...

This could be a game changer for some, Ford Transit Trail coming to the US

https://www.autoblog.com/2022/11/03/2023-ford-transit-trail-van-reveal/ Glad to see the 3.5" lift instead of 2". I know that includes larger tires but I'm OK with that. Wish it had low range but I'm just old school. Is this based on a Transit "half ton" platform, as I see a 9,500 GVWR.

    Fuso ambulance box!

This is a dream combo for me: FG and Ambulance box! I would love to know more about this truck. How did you mount the box? Did you use a subframe? Is it solidly mounted to the chassis or a three point mount? Thanks for sharing your photo!

    Ambulance box weight?

Can anyone tell me the weight of an ambulance box? If you know the weight of an empty box with nothing in it that would be useful too. Thanks!

Fuso FE or Isuzu NPR 4x4 conversion: Basic research.

Yeah, just wondering if that step would be needed? With everything else to do that would not be much more work for sure.

Fuso FE or Isuzu NPR 4x4 conversion: Basic research.

Hello, I am curious if anyone has compared the spring perch spacing between a Fuso FE or a Isuzu NPR and a Ford F350 truck? Are they close? EarthCrusier is using Dynatrak axles to do their FE to 4x4 conversion so these axles could be purchased but I am curious if Ford 1 ton axles could be used...

    Super Single wheels available?

Does anyone know of any Super Single 17" wheels, a set of five for a Fuso FG, that are available in the US? Earthcrusier has none available, All Terrain Warrior says 5 or 6 months to get some imported and delivered, and Fusooffroad.som has none in stock as well. Any place else to check?

    Fifteen year anniversary

Fifteen years ago today I picked up my Sportsmobile camper van from the factory in Fresno, California. It's been a lot of fun roaming around in it, and it sure has made life easy to camp where ever I feel like parking it. It's been an expensive pain in the ass when it breaks, but after it's...

    1994 quigley e250 rehab

Nice work. Two old vans, some parts, some talent, and hard work and you are way ahead of a lot of people searching for their perfect van on Craigslist.

    The Heap. A Gen 2 Tracker/Vitara Build

I have a 2001 Grand Vitara that is my daily driver. Great simple rig that has been super dependable for ten years. I put manual hubs on the front axles but that is all since it's my DD. I have a manual trans which seems pretty rare for these rigs. For crawling the auto would be better as the low...

Ujoint Offroad Colorado van build thread!

GREAT thread! Love to see the photos and hear your story about making what you wanted for years come true. The video was awesome too. As I sit here in NW Washington on a rainy afternoon, I would soooo love to be on the road somewhere enjoying a sunny afternoon with friends. Thanks for taking the...
