    riNR AWD Chev Combi-Van

Thanks! Thats super helpful. I'm trying to see what gauge and size tube I will need. I'm glad you were out having fun, rather than responding to my silly posts :)

Looking great! I love the geckos, too. I've been thinking about a similar solution for a bed platform using cross beams. What size tube did you use? It looks like you just anchored them to your wooden wall/box, right? Do you know how much weight it can support? Very cool! I'm considering trying...

What rack is that on back? How many bikes does it hold? Can you access the rear doors with bikes on it? I'm looking for something better than the crappy old 4 bike Thule swing away I currently have for my family's bikes. Sweet van, btw!

Fords have the most aftermarket support and are relatively easy to convert to a capable 4x4. Fords came with a 7.3l IDI diesel until 1994(ish), when they were replaced by the 7.3l PSD and then the 6.0 PSD in 2004 (mid 2003). Chevy can be had with a Duramax, but more limited aftermarket...

Weldtec Design 2WD Bent I-Beam Lift for E350 (E series vans)

I put about 4k mi on the van laśt August on a family road trip out to MT, WY and UT. Still loving the van in general, and the suspension in particular! I do need to redo my rear springs, though... My lift predates the current Weldtec rear end upgrades. I just rearched the springs and...

I think I saw that sportsmobile is making a complete body to drop on the cutaways, so they can keep using the Ford platform.

I have an E350 van and can open both rear cargo doors into the annex of my Autana (with a tiny bit of work). It's a pretty big opening.

Was Everyone in Yellowstone? We were also in the Yellowstone area the first couple weeks of August. Mostly camped in Lizard Creek Grand Teton and explored Yellowstone and Grand Teton from there. We also spent a few days up near Livingston MT and kayaked on Jackson Lake. Phenomenally beautiful...

Thanks Steve! You're the 4th person in a week to say that Teton is much better than Yellowstone. I think we are going to shift our itinerary. We already have a 3 day kayak tour planned on Lake Jackson, but I think well have to spend some more time doing other stuff in Grand Teton, and shorten...
