    Another OVRLND Camper Build

It would make the rig pretty tall, but it’s possible. I wouldn’t keep anything really heavy in there. Mostly because you would need to lift the additional weight to lift when popping up/down. I think it’s possible to add additional lift struts to help, but it’s a balance.

Thanks for sharing. Those are some pretty cool builds for sure! The camper has been sold. It lives it’s new life on a 3rd gen Toyota Tacoma shortbed.

I have noticed some of the cargo trailer manufacturers have a "UTV Package" for customers who haul OHVs. Some of these come with beefier tires, a little more clearance, etc. I'm still researching though. It's tough with these things because information is so minimal and you have to deal with...

Funny you say that. The rig I had before this truck was a diy van build. Not the fancy hightop Sprinters you see now, but a standard lowtop utility van (2002 Chevy Express 2500) with a nice modest build out. It was small, warm, and comfortable in that thing. Simpler times before we had any dogs...

That sounds like a great combination! Not sure we can swing that though haha. We are thinking about doing a diy build on an enclosed cargo trailer. Hoping to pick one up that is a little more rugged than the standard contractors variety, but not a real "off-road" trailer by Expedition Portal...

*Sold* - OVRLND Camper popup canopy truck camper

Looking to transition to a towable rig with a little more space for our growing family of dogs. Our OVRLND Camper is about a year old (picked up January 2020). It is designed to fit a shortbed Tacoma (2016+) and also Colorado/Canyon (2015+). OVRLND Campers are made of aluminum and weigh under...

Awesome! That should keep things really nice and toasty. Where did you order you p9000? Mattress has been a funny story. Ordered from foambymail.com. The price and service were great. I first ordered the lux-hq foam but it was way too stiff. Then I ordered the basic poly foam and it’s better...

I haven’t used this setup on super cold temps. Coldest was about 30F. I had a thermometer inside and it said about 55F, so I think the heater buys me roughly 25F above the ambient temp. I’m not too sure how well the Bedrug insulates because I have never used this setup without it. I imagine...

Here are some pictures of how the shelves are mounted. Here is the passenger side shelf. In the OVRLND campers, there is an aluminum extrusion that runs horizontally near the top. This is where the bed platform rests when it is pulled out. I installed a couple t nuts into the extrusion and...

Campers for small bed (5') trucks

I have a 5ft bed Colorado with 4 doors. As mentioned, Colorado's do come in a 4 door longbed (6ft) as well. 4 Wheel Camper makes a model for midsize trucks. A few fullpopup (non-wedge) canopy campers are out there too. 4 Wheel Camper Project M, OVRLND (which is what I have), and also Hiatus...

Yeah, the diesel consumption for the heater (on lowest setting) is really minimal. I'm guessing a gallon of diesel would last three nights or more. But then there is the 12v power consumption. My battery is only ~24 amp hours (293 wh). Two nights is easily doable to power just the heater. If I...
