    Off season RTT storage

Update - I ended up getting a 30" x 18" furniture dolly off of Amazon and using a ratchet strap to attach it. My new apartment has a storage unit and an elevator so I was able to roll it right in with no problem. The 1000 lb limit is 10x what my Kukenam weighs, so it rolls nice and smooth down...

    Air suspension thoughts

Hey everyone, Has anyone done any air suspension mods on their rig? I've been thinking of adding airbags to my 2015 Impreza so I can have variable ride height, but wasn't sure if there were any major drawbacks beside the cost? It's my daily driver and I went with it over the Crosstrek due to...

    Subaru Ascent

The newer Subarus have gone to a solid door frame design around the windows. My 2015 Impreza still has a fair bit of wind noise, but I've heard the 2017s are a lot better with quieter windshield glass for Crosstrek and Impreza along with the new stiffer frame from the Global Platform which is...

    RTT Fairing questions

So, quick update. I attached the cardboard with some gaffer's tape to the front of the car and tent. I wasn't able to really tell much as far as a difference in noise generation. I suspect the cardboard+tape prototype wasn't the best idea as the thing flew off while I was on the highway at 70...

Subaru owners: Let's see your expedition rigs!

Awesome, thanks! Don't have it on my current rig, but hoping to get it next time.

Does Eyesight still work alright with the lift?

I was thinking something a little more stationary, but this could work. I have a couple months to think about it, but the wheeled solutions look promising.

    RTT Fairing questions

Thanks! No sunroof here. I made sure to get a car without one to reduce wind noise. We do a 12+ hour drive (each way) at least once a year to visit family. You really start to notice the road noise when you are driving that long. Hoping to make a cheap prototype soon so I'm not out much if it...

    RTT Fairing questions

Don't think I'll be up to Jersey anytime soon. If I haven't figured something out by November I might be able to swing up there when I'm in D.C. I'll let you know; thanks!

    Subaru Ascent

I'm on my 3rd Subaru (a 2015 Impreza) which is the 8th one between me and my parents. Other than a '99 Outback that blew the head gasket (common problem for that motor), we've had nothing but good luck with them. Minor maintenance and oil changes and they keep running and running. My '95...

    RTT Fairing questions

So, the wind noise from my RTT above 40 mph gets pretty bad in my Impreza. I'm planning a fairing to hopefully help in this department. Rigged up a piece of cardboard to get an idea of what it would look like and wanted some opinions. Is it better to go at a steep angle with a bigger faring to...

    Off season RTT storage

So, only just got my Tepui Kukenam, and I'm thinking ahead to winter. Not planning to use it after November, and I live in an apartment complex with a parking garage. I suspect they wouldn't like me putting in a kayak lift in their ceiling, so any thoughts on free-standing solutions? Some of the...

    RTT Mounting Challenge

Not sure if it helps, but here is a pick of a Tepui mounted to my factory rails. The bars from the tent do stick it up a bit. I'd have to go measure to see exactly how much, but I'd guess you get an inch or so from the tent bars themselves.

Also, forgot that Tepui announced a new lighter, thinner tent at the Outdoor Expo: https://expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/tepui-low-pro-7.196262/
