Diamondback HD tonneau. Anybody have one?

Looks good. I put one on my Ram 2500 over a decade ago and no complaints. Similar to yours but with tall headache rack.

    Why not a Hummer?

I would say that probably the two most common reasons for H1 not being very popular for overlanding is cost to get into one and people being scared of service and reliability. At 6'2" I'm fairly comfortable in my wagon and when it comes to the interior space, there is plenty to pack whatever you...

    Unimog museum

Cool pics. I was there back in 2008 and I see they have added few new things over the years. That place is great if you like Mogs.

    06-08 Ram 1500 mega cab vs 09+ f150 supercrew

So I have 2006 Ram Megacab 2500 diesel. Had it since new. 1500 Megacab of those years is the same as 2500 except softer springs and Hemi V8 engine. Comparing to f150, MegaCab will have much, much more room in the cabin. Also, since technically it is a 2500 chassis, it will be stronger and...

Falken Wildpeak AT/3W - anyone running them? Opinions?

As mentioned, most ATs will hold small rocks/gravel and Falkens are no exception. Saying that, I did not see much difference between BFG AT, Falken AT and ProComp AT in that regard.

Falken Wildpeak AT/3W - anyone running them? Opinions?

I run them on my 2006 Ram 2500 MegaCab 5.9 Diesel on H2 Wheels. Had them for a while and no complains. Most of the time I run empty, but few times had full bed and 9K-10K trailer running for around 800 miles non stop. No issues. They balance easy, are very quiet and wear well.

Questions - new to Pinzgauer - about to maybe purchase 710K

Comparing Pinz to other vehicles you have listed is not fair. Other are designed for on road comfort with off road capabilities. Pinz is not. If you plan to spend most of your time on the road and then hitting the trails when you get there, Pinz is not the best choice. Slow, rough, noisy...

    2002 dodge dakota "build"

Very cool. My first new truck was 98 Dakota, single cab, 3.9l V6, 5speed, 2wd. Gave it to my dad about 15 years ago and it still is his daily driver to this day. Great gas mileage and not a single leak. Only bad things are paint (like most of the ones from those years) and AC quit working...

What can i realistically tow with my G ?

Factory rating for those is 7716 lbs. Keep in mind, pulling will be easy, stopping is a different story.

    Animal strikes and brush bars

Hit a deer few years back in my 2000 Isuzu Trooper at about 60 MPH. It was a late night and I had no time to react. Got outside, only slight damage to hood, grill and offroad lights. Other than that, got back in the truck and drove home. All thanks to ARB. When I got my Ram of course one of...

2018 Ram Megacab Swiss Army Knife Build with trailer

The only pic I see is in first post and then some videos. No other pics show.

    Outback as backroad camp vehicle?

Outback does surprisingly well off road. Of course, articulation sucks, almost like a 2x4, but with traction control and good ground clearance you can take it places that would surprise many. Here are few pics of my former Outback 3.6 limited on a local jeep trail.

Ram Rebel or Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro

No contest, Ram all the way. Ram is the nicest driving truck from them all thanks to coil over rear suspension, so you don't need air suspension. Now, comparing Tacoma to Ram is not really fair as Ram is bigger, more capable, roomier, tows more and more comfortable, but it is also a full size...

    Multimeter recommendations

I have multiple Fluke DMMs including 87, 289 and 179 just to name few and never had a problem with any of them. Saying that, for a truck 99% of the time I use Klein CL2000 model. This model has been replaced with CL800 with better parameters. This Klein model is auto ranging, has AC/DC Amp...

Keep the Power Wagon or get a diesel flatbed???

It is a hard decisions, but lets see what the numbers say. Base PW payload is around 1450lbs, with added options it is even less. If you step up to the similar trim 2500 Diesel you are gaining only about 800lbs in payload (about 2200lbs). Now since you mentioned you would add all those...
