Gladiator Pop-Up Pass Through Camper Build

I have flexible panels on my RV (came with them from the factory) and don't have any complaints. Just be aware they have less output than their hard framed siblings.

Gladiator Pop-Up Pass Through Camper Build

Another vote for skip the sticky velcro. Snaps are easy to install in the scheme of things, zippers will be a more finished product and easier if you expect to remove and install the fabric multiple times.

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

Glad it worked out, sounds like they are more worried about commercial vehicles with shells on them, big RVs, boats, etc. And yeah HOAs are horrible, they are typically high school style politics and bs.

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

Yeah us 8ft bed folks usually miss out on lots of goodies unfortunately. I guess one could mount it rearward and fabricate a fill for the front of the bed. Put a water tank below and some storage and then above make some extensions for the sides and maybe do removable storage boxes in that...

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

The nice thing about using bolts in the channels is you can either get acorn nuts for the exposed end or covers for the nuts that are acorn or other style. This hides the exposed threads and provides protection from any sharp edges on the end of the bolt.

Yes the key will be staying organized. I'd suggest that you pick a starting point on the row of switches and then a starting point on the fuse panel and then just move in an orderly fashion down the line. Keep wires as short as possible while still allowing some room to service things. If the...

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

Those are simple switches with just 2 terminals and the lever either makes or breaks the connection. They are no different than a valve on a water hose in that respect. This makes them very simple. It sounds like you desire to have 1 fuse for each switched circuit and will use your existing...

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

Totally different vehicle but I added air helpers on an 03 ram 1500 years ago after I put in a nice soft 6" lift kit. It really did an amazing job of preventing rear sag when loaded down. Yes I know they make the water tank to fit inside the canopy camper but there had bene talk of it also...

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

How do you find the Gladiator handles with the added weight on the back? Did you do any suspension mods to compensate? I'm shopping for a Rubicon diesel Gladiator and am gonna hang the Canopy Camper in the bed. As for the space between the canopy and the back of the jeep top, I know they make...

$200 5KW Portable Diesel Air Heater

Air sealing is not good for occupied space. CO2 asphyxia can be an issue if not getting enough air exchange. Literally your own breathing can kill you, sealing it from dust infiltration and drafts is great, but have a plan to facilitate air exchange when occupying the space.

Maximus-3 makes a relocation kit for that antenna FYI.

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

I plan to buy a replacement tailgate harness when I get my gladiator and canopy and work from that. This will give me a modifiable (without cutting into the vehicle harness) part to tap into for 3rd brake light connection and something to work from for the camera. I wonder if using a camera...

Awesome, thanks. Any chance you could when you get a chance open the rear slider on the jeep and stick a tape measure through and see how much distance there is before it hits the front wall of the alu-cab? I'm looking at crafting a pass through setup (yes i know the window is small) when I...

Are there any holes that need to be drilled for install or is it truly 100% bolt on (i know there is adhesive added during the install)? I want to avoid drilling holes in the bed due to the road salt used here in the northeast.

    2014 Ram 2500 Build thread

yeah but they dont seem to want to do em for 8ft beds except for maybe later the new body style. i added some tie down rails made of unistrut just like the rails in the toyota trucks and it works great.
