Where did you get the air chuck insert plug shown in the video in the rear? The black plug with the ring pull. With the weather/salt out here, I'm constantly cleaning mine so it doesn't gunk up.

We live about a mile from the main entrance to Acadia. You wouldn't believe the things we've seen and what they have tried to do here. Sadly I can't drive my own rig in Acadia.

Mounted left of the column. I have an 18, and I think your dash/console is different. There was no perfect place to mount it. The Plus, it's out of the way and I can't whack my knee on it getting in/out. The Minus, can't see it while driving. Didn't want it in my console or above the dash, so...

Same here, we didn't quite make it, we are 24.5 ft. We've heard 25' was the limit in most parks. And yes, some parks do enforce it. We were at Dead Horse Point a few years back, and the ranger turned an RV away after a hilarious argument (well, to us anyway) by the RV'er. After the ranger...

Sure. The air gauges, the compressor or the truck itself?

You will like the control system in your cab, much easier. I have a single gauge/dual display for my air bags in my 4500. I also have the ARB Twin compressor to run it, and have air connections on each side of my flatbed for tires/tools. Love your build, can't wait to see it completed.

    Gross vehicle rating & payload

I have not weighed my camper/truck combo yet, it's on the list of things to do. If you went to the Sherptek website, you probably saw my truck, it's the one in the video as well. The choice of 3500 vs 4500 was a no brainer. Bigger capacity, bigger brakes, HD transmission option, flat frame...

    Gross vehicle rating & payload

Here is a shot of my 2018 RAM 4500 crew cab chassis door tag. I have a custom flatbed (Sherptek) , boxes and camper as well. The 4500 is indeed 10 lug rims.

looking at new trucks and have a question about the Rams

I have a 2018 4500 and I have a Torklift Superhitch on it. I have the 6.4L Hemi. Big plus on the C/C trucks are the HD transmission options. I have a flatbed for my truck camper. I am very very happy with the set up.

Thanks, this helps alot. I have a solar system as well.

How to make a cheap isolated dual-battery setup for $50

How do I size the wire and fuses for my RAM 4500 with dual 380 amp alternators? Each one is 190 amp. I want to charge the house batteries (2 6v 220Ah each) in my truck camper. Guestimating I'll have about a 50' run (round trip). I have no idea how much 'need' the house batteries will require...

    Ram 5500 is here

Ours (granted it's a 4500) wasn't hard to insure at all, our agent didn't even bat an eye. The state of Maine, however, nicked me pretty hefty for a commercial plate due to the GVWR.

    Ram 5500 is here

I'm interested in what bumper you go with. Our 4500 is in and getting fitted for a flatbed as I type, for, of course, our Host Mammoth camper.....
