Are you or do you know someone who is driving a newer Mitsubishi FUSO in South America? We have build our own expedition truck onto a 2015 FG & would like to drive through Central & South America.
How are you getting on with DEF regen at higher altitudes?
Have you been able to delete the DEF...
Yes it does get HOT! That's a great suggestion on the paint, it looks fantastic. I was also considering mounting bars to allow for airflow under the panels, but the paint would probably do away with the need for these.
I'm going to want to park in the shade... So I am planning to have a portion...
That's great dlh62c, thank you very much for your help.
We are getting about 400 miles per gallon of DEF. I need to learn more about what conditions effects the consumption of DEF.
I would imagine that mixing DEF might create all sorts of confusion for the sensors unless it's just right.
Thank you very much for the ULSD map dlh62c and your suggestion for future patent royalties!
I am going to start looking to see where DEF is available or explore granular urea....
The truck is coming along slowly... I have the roof hatch & vent fan in, almost done with the insulation, then...
Has anyone modified their FUSO to run without DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid)?
Alternatively, have you been able to buy DEF in any of the Central & South American countries?
Thank you very much for your suggestions!
I bought mine through the service department of Camping World in Portland, OR for just under $800 inc shipping. They ordered it from Thetford and like others just asked if I wanted L or R and wether I wanted one with a holding tank or directly plumbed to the water supply line.
I'm hoping to...
I found a really nice low ride seat designed for a semi-truck, I think that it will work if I take the air suspension off it.
I'll go back to Kenworth Trucks, here in Portland, next week and see if they will let me test fit it.... Then invest in the overall ride of the truck.
What have you...
Dlh62c, I will be posting loads more photos of the build. Yes it is a dry freight body.
Thank you Kerry, I will check Stratos out. What model do you you have? Do you have air suspension under your seats?
I am considering a plusher seat and forgo the air suspension, for better visibility & more...
I am starting to create a vehicle for our journey from Portland, OR down to Patagonia.

I'm wondering what seats you have installed into your FUSO FG?
I found a great thread here: http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/2343-FG-cab-over-air-seats
