I went jeep. Both have an insane aftermarket. But I want to reach a little further so I am building it to be able to do some serious crawling to get to places a little more off the beat'n path if you would.

Keep it up, took delivery of my '17 rubicon yesterday and look forward to tearing into it soon. I have a ton of parts inbound and this thread got me stoked.

BFG's have notorious issues throughout a variety of platforms. I prefer Yokohama at/s. I have ran them for years and never had a single failure. 5 sets of 37's on a Baja bound Dodge diesel and two sets on VW Touaregs. I don't understand the big popularity.

I daily drove my 07.5 3500 CCSB for years. It does just fine.

Solid axle swap that bad boy. A dodge 2500 AAM 9.25 will be great for it.

Diesel without question. Torque, reliability and better fuel mileage then a Hemi.
