    Trasharoo alternatives

I'm on my second Trasharoo as the first one failed due to a dry rotted strap that tore. I left it attached for 2 years and the UV just tore it up. I called Trasharoo and they were not willing to perform a repair despite the bag still being usable. Instead they offered me a pretty good discount...

    Trailer Coupler

No issues with the locknroll over the past 15 years that I've had my trailer. Last year I did a frame off restore of my trailer and could have switched to something else but really didn't have a need to as it's worked fine for me. It can be a little noisy on rough terrain w a decent load in the...

What do you use for deflating your tires?

If you want something cheap and homemade take a medium size black paper binder clip. Drill a small hole in the top and screw in a small sheet metal screw w the tip flattened/ground down. The screw has to be small enough to fit into the valve stem and allow air to escape around it. Clip onto the...

What do you use for deflating your tires?

I have a set of Staun deflators but never use them. My go to is a set of simple screw on deflators that come on a key chain similar to what Terraflex has. There are a couple companies that sell basically the same thing...

    Safe Jack- Review

Good jack added one to my kit including the base and extensions. The stock jack that came with my van felt marginal at best with a 4x4 and camper conversion during a tire change in the soft sand.

Diesel vs gas engine for camping and General purpose

I had a diesel camper van w the 6.0 PSD. The power was great and I averaged 13.5 mpg. It also cost me a ton of money in maintenance and repairs...expensive repairs. I sold it and now have a V10 camper van that averages 9.5 mpg. I do miss the low end power of the diesel but I love how quiet the...

OPINION: Single or dual ARB compressor

I've had both. Go with the dual, why mess around. It is worth the extra $$. The first dual I used for 3 years before selling that rig, never let me down. I'm 5 years into my second dual compressor. Both setups had 5 gallon tanks and chucks fore and aft. I'm adding one to my other 4x4.

What all do I need for a hot water shower system?

www.hotcampshowers.com. I used an R&M vehicle mounted shower on a road trip to AK from MD. Works great w a bucket of water or if you find a stream or lake you'll have unlimited hot showers. That and an ARB fridge were the best additions to my rig for that trip. Looks like they don't make...

Who has the longest running ARB Fridge?

14 years for me. Purchased in 2001 for a 9 month cross country trip. Has been used several other times for other camping trips. The last several years its been used in the house as the dedicated beer cooler.

RotopaX Gas Can Mounting Pictures (please)

Not sure I'd want that can mounted so low on the back of my truck. You get rear ended and that gas is going everywhere, not to mention fear of it igniting too. Would be safer in the bed of your truck.

Post favorite pics of your rig and trailer

It's a Sportsmobile trailer, one of only a few made with diamond plate aluminum instead of fiberglass with marine plywood on the floor. I put an aluminum lock box on the lid. It's in need of an overhaul, but its served me well over the last 10 years. Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk
