Let's Talk About Heating our Trailers.

This is for new ones, but maybe wiring is the same? http://bryantrv.com/docs2/docs/ntseries.pdf

    New (to us) Conqueror Compact

I love those trailers. I also love the HJ61. What a rig to pull an offroad trailer. Just like you in SA or Oz. You and your family will love it. I was surprised. My wife never really liked camping, even when we had a pop up trailer. With my expo trailer and the Land Cruiser, she can't...

    Question about wiring/charging trailer battery

Ah, yes, so it is :ylsmoke: I guess I was skimming too fast, or it was too late

    Question about wiring/charging trailer battery

To keep the trailer isolated from the truck, use a 40amp relay triggered by the acc/run ignition maybe?

    Charging batteries while driving?

I have been using the Hellroaring battery isolator/combiner for years (http://www.hellroaring.com/rv.php). It can be mounted in the trailer or in the truck. If your trailer connector is already wired for the charge line, installing it in the trailer may be easier.

Need help locating parts for trailer build.

Here is a link that has some good info. Short list, abctrailerparts.com (axle related parts, lights etc), mcmaster.com (lid struts, latches, hinges). Also, don't underestimate your local (family run if available) RV trailer repair/supply store. Six Robblies has allot and many trailer builders...

My lid is too heavy, any ideas?

I had the same problem as my tent/top ended up being over 300#. At first I had too light of struts, two #120, I ended up getting two #250, then they were too close to the hinge. I ended up making them open to be nearly 45 deg, pushing. The strut is connected to the lid near the center and the...

Let's Talk About Heating our Trailers.

I think if you isolated the heatsource from the the battery and propane and had each compartment vented you should be ok. Best maybe to use an AGM sealed battery and triple check the gas lines for leaks.

    Off-road camping trailer build

Thanks Pat, The shelf was always there, I just opened up a whole in it. The shelf use to cover the entire area forward of the kitchen drawer. The stabilizers work ok. I think I would have been fine just using some sliding polls like the Conqueror trailers use. It does give a bit of...

    Off-road camping trailer build

Here are a few of the trailer in action on a recent camping trip to the Naches Ranger district. A few of the tank straps. Turned out pretty well. No sign of failure yet but the center of the water tank may need a little more support. I was able to gain a lot of space in the trailer...
