Hallmark Truck Camper Company files for bankruptcy

Not really on point, but I'm sure Hallmark will have lots of company in the bankruptcy court over the next couple of years post covid + inflation are hitting the RV industry hard. Turtleback is on the ropes too. Company Announcement - Turtleback Trailers

    Phoenix pop up truck campers

If I were searching for a replacement for my FWC in the Denver area, I would check out Supertramp campers too. They look really nice.

    Used Gazell V2 Camper Advice

They made a US copy of the Gazelle, not sure if you can find one of those either but google a GZL 400 (full size) or GZL 300 (mid sized), there are only a few made. EarthCruiser GZL 400 | Expedition Portal

Another FWC in the wind thread... whats the Flap Factor on a FWC?

I've had mine in high winds. I wasn't concerned about it's ability to stay up, but thanks to the sound and movement so far twice I've dropped the top in the middle of the night and slept on the dinette, only to raise it back up once the storm passed so I could be in the more comfortable upper bunk.

    Supertramp Flagship

Did you go to their Instagram? This is like their fourth evolution of their product. Definitely looks looks like it can be a great camper eventually, but it's all hype right now , we'll see if they make it to market, and where they are within a couple of years.

    Palomino Backpack

Even though I already have a Four Wheel Camper, I appreciate these types of posts with so much detail. Your taking the time to give more info that you can get from a manufacturer's website always helps somebody out there.

2020 Overland Explorer Vehicles (OEV) CAMP-X pop-up slide-in pickup camper (renamed "Back Country" as of 2023)

Great write-up, better than what the dealer or manufacturer has on their websites. In the future, when the day comes to replace my FWC, this will get a close look. Even though I'm happy with my FWC, there are no perfect campers.

Bundutec Wild - Will it hold up to off-road pressure?

I know nothing about that brand, but fyi you can get the same cassette toilet in a FWC Hawk or Grandby. They also offer an inside shower option as well, but it uses the table area and not the toilet area.

Hard Sides in standard pop up

Besides Alaskan pop-ups which have been doing this for a long time, there's a post on here about a new company, https://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/hard-sided-pop-up-camper-by-hiatus-campers.210012/

Very cool pop up with lots of neat features on land Rover

Amazing, especially since it's all custom!

    fwc and bears

There are some national park units that won't allow any pop-ups for this reason. You can use it with the top down, but that's a tight fit. I've camped in tents for years in national parks and haven't had any issues with storing food outside the tent, but for some reason, a handful of parks...

    FWC vs All Terrain Camper

New website is coming for FWC, they did post up in November about a prototype they are working on with full 3-d pics of their showroom, you can "fly" through all the campers. https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=R1AqFsBWHD2

FWC; major design changes, issues, and value?

I went to Overland Expo West in 2017 and looked at most of what was there and ended up buying a FWC. The Earthcruiser GZL looked nice but it was almost twice what I paid for a similarly equipped FWC when I priced it in early 2018. I went back to the expo in 2018 and looked again at the campers...
