    2002 Dodge 2500 Cummins Long bed 6spd manual 4x4 $19k

yeah, I'd love to do that with it. I got a TBI and can't drive longer than 30 minutes without getting migraines and nausea, so I won't be doing any long trips for a while. it's ok, I put 80k miles on my 4runner in two years, with about 15k of that being offroad and deep in the western US wilderness.

    mountain biking+camping focused 4runner setup?

we met somewhere the next day at a bank and he bought it from me. I had another 4runner at the time, so it wasn't a big deal. I borrowed a swingaway rack and it helped for sure. I don't think i'd want the bikes up front.

    mountain biking+camping focused 4runner setup?

word thanks. I used to have a lifted 91 E350 that could go most places my 4runner could go, but it got 8mpg and some dude at a gas station offered me twice what I paid for it, so I sold it. also I couldn't stand up in it and the suspension was insanely harsh, and it was incredibly loud on long...

    mountain biking+camping focused 4runner setup?

Sure. I’ll prob trade the 4runner for a Tundra or other truck with a camper or RTT at some point in the next year or two, but for now I just want a less irritating solution for my stuff for the desert trip I have coming up in a couple weeks. $2k for a rack is out of my budget at the moment so...

    mountain biking+camping focused 4runner setup?

Oh, that isn’t what I meant. I just meant it’s expensive for a rack. And no, I don’t need a midsize with the interior of a van etc etc etc. I bought the 4runner when my life was different. It’s just what I have right now. I’m not doing as much offroading as I used to and it’s not as much of a...

    mountain biking+camping focused 4runner setup?

Holy sheet those things are expensive. It’s like $2k plus for the two level box and bike rack system.

that might work, actually. I'll look into that.

    mountain biking+camping focused 4runner setup?

Wondering what other folks are doing for MTB-trip-focused builds. I’m in a 19 TRD ORP 4runner I bought new 2 years ago. The first 6 months it was a Denver corporate office commuter and weekend ski vehicle with occasional Moab trips. Then the pandemic and a layoff happened and it spent a year as...

winter tires when I live where it snows a lot but also plan to go to the desert?

cool. The only time I pass through Kansas is when I drive home to the east coast to see my family. From Idaho it’s 30 hours, so I prob won’t make it again soon. Hope you’re enjoying the life change. I’m loving east Idaho. Kind of can’t imagine moving again unless I move abroad or just go...

winter tires when I live where it snows a lot but also plan to go to the desert?

Well, we’ve had a load of snow the last few weeks and I’ve been driving up the mountain to the ski resort every day, and I haven’t gotten around to putting snow tires on. My verdict on the Grabber ATX is pretty much the same as it was: good in dry, deep, or fresh snow. Not very good in wet snow...
