    Rubicon or Sahara

I have never regretted buying the Rubicon package, I am on my 3rd, the lockers have saved my bacon more than a few times, and on the super steep terrain I drive, the low range is a godsend for hill descent without needing to ride the brakes all the way, helps with control too. I really don't...

    Wondering??

Mine has a 3500# towing capacity, doubt I will ever pull that much, but that is the official rating.

    Wondering??

So far in my overlanding and offroading, I have had zero issues, currently I crawl under after every excursion to take a look at it in particular, just to make sure I don't have sticks or brush stuck up in there, thus far, good to go. What I am liking is being able to go well over 300 miles...

    Wondering??

That is the one! I was a little concerned about it at first, but after having taken my newest Jeep through the brush and rocks, for my purposes it will not be an issue. I will however not be tackling any large clumps of mesquite, but I wouldn't do that to any offroad vehicle I've owned!

    Wondering??

Nope, there is a large battery unit on the drivers side, having smahed an evap canister, I assure you that is not what I am looking at. The second battery unit is for the ESS system which may be disabled if one so chooses. The battery unit has heating and cooling lines running to it as well...

    Wondering??

Wondering how long it will take someone to tap in to the new battery system on the JL? That is one big battery unit opposite the fuel tank.

    JLU MPG 4 Cylinder

The remaining leg with less wind and elevation changes made 21.2 MPG at average of 75 MPH. Very noticeable decrease at anything over 70, and 65 is just about the sweet spot. This last time the computer was under actual by .3 mpg, so the computer is doing a relatively good job.

    JLU MPG 4 Cylinder

Well I hand jammed 19mpg over 277.3 miles. Starting elevation was 4300, peak elevation was 7500 feet, average speed was in the 70 mph neighborhood, very little was flat, big rolling hills and small mountains, and half of the trip was into a stiff headwind of 20mph. The half of the trip not...

    JLU MPG 4 Cylinder

I will be putting close to 500 miles on it this weekend, I will let you know how it does going through the mountains at highway and freeway speeds.

    JLU MPG 4 Cylinder

So far on my 13 miles commute with some stop and go and a little highway, I am getting 20.8 MPG, on a longer trip Saturday with a mix of highway, mountains (up to 7500') and about 25 miles of dirt/gravel I got 24.1. So far I am very happy with the little 4cyl that I initially didn't want, but...

    Post Pic's of your Jeep

A week ago I traded in my 2015 for this 2018. I had some issues with the 15 since it was new, nothing major, but I was beginning to have more and more issues. So far I love the new Jeep. It drives well, more responsive which took getting used to, but so far on my commute to and from work and...

    Back Country Communications

So it does look like about half of the area I traverse has good coverage, a couple sit at 10,000 ft or higher so pretty good line of sight for areas in the basin. The county I live in is larger than the state of Delaware, so there are some pretty big gaps between repeaters. The emergency...
