I am selling (6) 20 x 11 Unimog wheels. They have some surface rust from sitting but they are very usable shape and could be easily repainted.
They fit a Unimog with disc brakes. I bought them for the tires but I had to mount them on a 20 x 9 wheel to fit my 404 with drums.
I am asking $500...
Let me know how that ends up. I have seen Pure Performance online but I don't know much about it.
I keep deciding to just wait for the Carli kit then every Monday when I head out for work I'm determined to change something about half way through my drive.
Good information. I guess that is 26% softer than the OEM diesel coils? If so that might still be firmer than OEM 6.4 coils.....
I might end up with a AEV bumper or winch down the road, but the diesel is still like 700lbs ( give or take ) more than the gas. If I add a winch I will probably...
Well, I'm getting closer to a purchase so I called the Tech Dept at Carli.
They told me they don't offer a lift for the 14+ gas trucks and wouldn't recommend their diesel kit. As I suspected, they said it would be way too stiff due to the weight difference. In a nutshell he told me they sell...
I have a 94' RRC and a 08' RRSC. Both have been good vehicles and I would say are reliable. The 94' definitely requires more maintenance and little fixes but it gets used fairly hard while the 08' mainly just gets cruised around town by the wife. From many opinions the 07' - 09' rovers are...
I didn't see a Gas option on their website for the 2014+ but if I end up spending $3k + then I'll definitely give them a call to ask and maybe they'll be out fairly soon.
Sounds great. Part of my apprehension has just been that the AEV system is fairly new and there aren't a lot of reviews. I do like their comments on why they use factory springs though.
I have a 15' Ram 2500 with the 6.4. It's been a great truck but I'm looking to improve on the stock suspension. I do a lot of highway driving for work and a fair amount of towing.
I'm torn between the Carli Commuter, Backcountry, the AEV lift and some misc upgrades. I've heard wonderful things...
Has anyone had some direct experience with the AEV lift? It looks like the most complete kit for the money.
I'm torn between that and spending a little more for a Carli system. I'm just worries that the Carli spring rates are more meant for a diesel and I have the 6.4 gas.
The biggest thing...
Interesting enough after posting this, we took our L322 on a trip this weekend. About half way there we had some sort of ABS issue that popped up (apparently it's been doing this every few days but my wife didn't bother to tell me this until we were on the road 3 hrs away). It's not a big deal...
I would definitely keep the RRC especially if you have a nice one. They are getting harder to find and the aftermarket is growing. I have seen some very nice defenders and RRCs built recently. I know it might seem like a backwards step in some ways but a crate 4.6 would solve your power issues...
To me the "floaty" feeling a new EAS Land Rover is a positive thing. They soak up terrain and long hwy trips like few other vehicles but with that said it's not for everyone. I've had friends drive both my LR4 and RR and I get very mixed opinions about the ride.
I will say that you get used to...
