I have a 04.5 2500 with the 6 Speed. Truck has the NV5600, after 04.5 they went to the G56 tranny which is a smoother shifting tranny from what I hear. Has just about 200K on it and has only had front end item wear (ball joints, TREs, unit bearings etc..) other wise has been trouble free...
