Curious if anyone here has gone to check this out... been listed for a while, pushy seller and has seen some massive price cuts so I have to assume something is wrong. Very tempting just a long drive for something that seems not quite right. Anybody seen it...

it is. We’re debating on doubling the price range and opting for something newer. Hard to justify 30k for a rig with 20 years of hard use.

Relax, I have been watching the classifieds here pretty closely. I did see yours, it was a nice van! Like I said, I'm looking for a shorter wheelbase- as much as I liked yours it was the extended so I didn't pursue it.

A few advantages off-road- typically you can get a better turning radius versus leafs in the front, and coils tend to have significantly better articulation for the money. Also, on the front end leaf spring hangers can get caught on things when you're approaching an obstacle.

I'll have to check it out. Goal for the next build is to have something comfortable with a minimal interior build, room for two massive dog crates and our gear. We'd like something we can wheel pretty aggressively, both at low speeds and faster, thus the minimal build (probably a welded frame...

Yeah they're definetly a great option. Unfortunately we want something with a coil-sprung solid axle front. I tend to take my vehicles places they probably have no business being.
